General Football & Sports / Re: Tony Pulis
« on: September 20, 2015, 12:14:25 PM »
Do some of you honestly think that Pulis was happy after the Southampton game ?
Of course not, Pulis would of been as frustrated as we all were. A game we would of lost in previous seasons. It just seems on this site to many of you are waiting for him to fail, so you can say
"I told you so", I'm more than happy with
Pulis as our Manager long may it continue, The football to me in my opinion is no worse or better than when Hodgson was in charge, he took stick on this site at times with the football we played but not  to the extent that Pulis
does.

If there is any doubt, I am an AlbionFan of 60 years devoted loyalty. Owners, Directors, Players et al, come and go, but AlbionFans are forever whether we like it or not at this time.

Nice try Dingle ! Using the words darkness and light give it away, but hey as i said before its funny

Well he inherited a boring. passionless, overpaid bunch of drama queens who really aren't talented enough to be in this division. Long was sold, not that he is that good anyway , Anelka quit- another not so good signing. He has a weak, second rate team to work with and we should sack him????

If we go down I hope they give him a chance to build his own team because this bunch are just worthless.
Agree with most of what you said, but do you really think Mel is the man to build his own squad ?

Im not blaming Mel for the whole season, actually think he is right manager at the wrong time, same as Valero. Just think  we need someone to shake them up as what I saw today was to many players going through the motions, Yes Long dived I agree but can we really hide behind that, Hull still looked the better team for long periods of the game. Sorry if you don't agree but I am entitled to my view.

Got to stick with him now sacking him will make things alot worse. Weve still only been in the bottom 3 once all season
being in bottom 3 after Stoke concerns me, not whats happened so far with respect, stop burying your head in the sand !!

Martin Jol till end of season then talk again. At present we have got a manager who can not do a team talk at half time. Total joke , yes Pepe seems like a nice bloke but really don't care how nice he is. We need results asap with squad we have got, which I agree is not his fault. Stay up or go down drastic changes are needed to present squad

After today, I am convinced more than ever that Pepe needs to be sacked. He has not got a clue. I appreciate the Pepe love in, but we need to get rid soon as to save our season.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Make Ashworth an offer he can't refuse

Make of this what you will ! Talking to a close friend today who's son is at Wolves Academy. He was having a chat with Dan Ashworth who's son is also there. After talking chit chat for a while, my mate asked him about what is going on at the Albion. One thing he did say and I quote " I never selected Garlick for my position, it was made very clear to me at a very early stage that he was going to be given the role, despite my reservations on his credentials "

Were you in the same group of people slating JP for not spending 8 million on Scott Sinclair and 'messing about' with the transfer? JP maybe tight, but at least we have a club that's going to be here many years to come and isn't spending a fortune on garbage. Why pay millions for a manager who has no more experience in this league, when you can get them anywhere. I hope you don't run your own business!

But no you're right, we should have signed Wilifried Bony for £20m. And we should increase the stadium capacity to 92,000. And we should give Shane Long a 100k a week salary.

Spot on !

Point taken about closing the thread. !

I just believe this is the strongest squad we have ever had, but we still discuss Lukaku loan move not happening. And I don't deny I was jumping up and down like a lunatic on transfer deadline day when he was reported to be coming back.
But in the days after I came to the conclusion it was for the best.

Time to close this thread and move on. if he had of come back we would of been in the same position end of season "Where ya goals going to come from now". I wish him all the best and 17 goals cant be dismissed lightly. But the press only really picked up on him after he scored the 2nd goal at Liverpool. Also 1st half of the season he was only a bit part player, when we rose to 3rd. !

Sometimes, these things dont work. I think donating to Steven Reid's charity and the idea to send a teddy bear to Jody Craddock's son is a perfect way to use the funds.

Agree with the above nice gesture !
