9 points leaving us with another 8 to get

Huddersfield 1
Watford 0
Leicester 1
B’mouth 3
Burnley 3
Swansea 1

Man U 0
Liverpool 1
Newcastle 3 (Old manager returns to haunt old club )
Spurs 1 (always draw with them)
Palace 3 (Roy feels sentimental and let’s us stay up)

I give to you Great Escape 2

shouldn't that have also happened against Soton, West Ham and Palace?

I did laugh when i saw Pards has the hoodoo while conversely Roy is sympathetic towards us, this is very much heart (hope) over head IMHO.

Think we’ll beat Huddersfield, Watford, Bournemouth, Burnley and Swansea. Points against Newcastle, Palace and potentially Leicester leaving us on 38. 18 points from the remaining could well be enough

dont ask me to choose luv

Corresponding remaining fixtures (not including Newcastle & Huddersfield), last season saw us taking 11 points, lets assume we'd have taken 3 points from either NU or HT, thats 14, giving us a total of 34 if all things were equal, now bear in mind some of those games last season were during the 'we got to 40 points lets nip down the Copa Cabana" stage, so I think 17/18 points is well within the realms of possibility.

As an aside, I was talking to Liam Gallagher after the Man City game & he asked me if West Brom would stay up......... I said maybe     :-[

Every chance 35 points will be enough, 38 should be plenty. I can see 6-8 teams relying on results on the last day to survive which could be mental.

Hope you're right mate, Saints have Man City, Brighton have Liverpool, Huddersfield have backside, Newcastle have Chelsea and Watford have Man Utd.

Think you’re probably right. Also, beating the teams around us means that they don’t get any points that week either and will reduce the amount needed to stay up

Again though, people are just discounting the fact that teams will pick up odd results. They will turnover stronger opposition. Ultimately it all depends on Huddersfield which is what I said pre-Chelsea and was told no it starts at The Bridge. Lo and behold it's pinned on the Huddersfield game. We could win and those around us do the same and it remains bleak.

Who’s saying that we won’t either though? The league and top 4 may be sorted out by the time we have to play the likes of spurs, Liverpool and United.

People doing the predictor may already be doing it and not giving any to other relegation threatened sides. Predicting results at the tail end of the season with sides scrapping for their lives is like a lottery. Points will be had and lost by everyone in all manners and circumstances.

You are correct in what you say, but the current bottom 8 all have to play each other, & although we still have to improve our form to date, the task might not be as formidable as we think.
It looks as though 36 points might be enough.
If it was easy, it wouldn't be Albion

Spot on,  this season all we are doing is reaping the rewards of our own recruitment ineptitude for the past few seasons, this is our best PL team ever, don't forget  :o  Pfffffffttt!

We haven't got any sting in us.  Under this manager I can't see us getting to 30 points.

After Sturridge's injury, the sacking of board members, Barcelona, the cup loss to Southampton and the increasing speculation about Pardew, we have no chance.
