;D Thought the back 4 played well. We need Molumby to start...him and Mowatt the only "engines" we have .Try Rasic at 10 and play 2 upfront.....Maja struggling badly on his own.....no service at all.
Diangana is a wallflower does nothing. Grant played well and chased everything.
We need an organiser in the Jan window otherwise we are going to finish in the bottom 10....sorry to be negative but that's how I see it.
Got to agree with you Chipper….not only an onfield organiser needed but he must also be an onfield leader chivying and rollicking his teammates who are not performing.

Don’t think there’s any doubt that we will see the old tired faces of Wallace, Swift and Diangana selected by CC yet again next match.  Why CC persists in selecting these players is beyond me me.

It needs a radical rethink otherwise, as has been said in previous posts, we will end the season mid-table at best.

Mowatt can pass,he can take a free kick,he ain’t bad with his first touch…but if he is an engine then we need a severe oil change .
He runs forward slower than me backwards in porridge ….on one leg…in wellies.

A few observations.

Terrible game of football brightened by few moments of quality, I had to remind myself that Luton were in the Premier League last season but we weren't any better.

Many fans myself included have wanted Carlos to ring the changes. He did and things got worse that is arguably the worst we have played across a whole game in the current downswing.

I am at the point where I simply don't want to see Wallace on the pitch. Playing him centrally has seldom worked during his time here and it didn't again tonight. We got overrun in midfield not because they were better than us they just had more bodies in there and we never got control of the ball centrally. Diangana as inverted right winger has never worked (no I don't know why either) but in something that looked like a 4-4-2 was just lost out there.

Defensively I thought we were sound and our better performers were the defenders. Although there was the collective aberration for the goal which really summed up a poor game overall. The case for Heggem being the Left sided Centre Back is unanswerable it is just a question of who partners him when we have some fit CB's to choose from.

We have to improve on this it wasn't good enough.
I think there is a clear difference between the “ringing the changes” that were forced and his choices …..he choose to start with Diangana ,Wallace and Racic …I think he needs some help.

I'm not agaisnt giving this a go.

Our good run at the start of the season was with Mowatt and Molomby in the middle. I think Racic at 10 might struggle to progress the ball as well as Swift but he would be a big threat arriving into the box for crosses.

On current showings he wouldn’t ,Furlong is a fair bit shorter but much more of a threat in the air.

The main plus was the makeshift defence that did a good job against a very direct Luton side. That said, we were a lot more direct than usual, so the game was like a throwback 20 years.
If any team deserved to win, it was probably Luton. They seemed to win nearly all the individual duels. All our forwards had to feed off was scraps. Either long hikes forward or inaccurate rushed through passes.  Our goal was very much against the run of play.
