Favourite West Brom Shirt
« on: April 21, 2022, 08:25:41 PM »
Whats your favourite West Brom shirt. My top three would probably be the 3. Cyan away from a couple of years back (I know its strange but there is just something about it for me) 2. 1984 Home and 1. 78/79 Home. Just a bit of fun really.

unfortunately i am marooned in the past and my favourite shirts are the 78/79 home and away kits. I might also be persuaded on the Sandwell council sponsored shirts

The 78/79 home kit is the favourite for sure. I like the throwback to it too from the season we had Gayle, Rodriguez, Barnes & co (sigh).

I also like the home kit from 2016-17 with the Sky blue collar. The black and blue way one from that season was great too.

I'd have throw in 2012-13 as it has connotations to the best side and my favourite ever season in my life.

Also love the purple 3rd kit from 2019-20.

I was also a fan of the infamous pinstripe kit  :o

Based on what I have Seen 92/93 and some of our 90's kits look nice. 68 shirt is Iconic, modern times I liked last season's throwback, I do like the Black Kit this year it has grown on me, but 2012/13 my favourite when we beat United and we had a quality Squad, Full House almost every game, Big Rom up top, Decent Football, that and the one we wore beating Wolves 5-1

I have in my collection an absolutely untouched original (not replica) Umbro long sleeved version of the 78/79 home shirt. I have been offered some crazy money for it over the years but if I do sell it where would I ever find another one?

Me too. Mine belonged to Willie Johnstone. I have also been offered some eye watering amounts for it but its the jewel in my collection.

The umbro yellow and green of the 70's and the blue and white with the a for Albion badge I think under Giles era.

From most recent years it is black umbro version which had solver on the shoulders and the  t mobile as the sponsor (prefer it without a sponsor obviously).

I don't like the quality puma as a brand so haven't bought anything from the club shop for a while.

I haven't bought a full price top since I was in my 20's and usually get them when they are £20.

I like the lilac / purple 3rd shirt from Bilic's promotion season , wasn't impressed with until seeing it in person at Hull .
Waited until it got cheaper but they got snapped up quick , had to pay too much to get one in the end :-X.
Don't come up much on ebay but usually go for £50 upwards when they do .

The shirt that Astle, Brown, Hope, Hartford mainly wore. Blue and white stripes with long white sleeves. And definitely a throstle badge.

Not sure there is one commercially available. I've got the 54 final shirt though and I think this was the shirt worn between 1948 and 1955, albeit with the Cup details on.

Maybe you could somehow lose the amber 1953-53 stitching??

On this note, does anybody want the 98/99 Home shirt?

I bought a LARGE but needed an XL so its up for sale.

I paid £45, it's in absolute mint condition also.
