Great news and it shows a mark of how the new ownership are doing when one of your most important players signs a new contract without a manager in place.

And Yacob did, generally  ;) .

It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.

No shame in being that good you don't need to run.

Reminds me of a winger who played in front of me for a brief period in Sunday League, he uttered the immortal words " who runs in a game?" i assumed he was some magnicificent, positionally astute wonder player but he just was lazy. Longest 10 games of my life covering him for him

Good news indeed. While we remain at this level, he is a vital player for us. I would still have concerns at premier league level but then that is true of virtually every player we have!

Excellent news, probably my favourite player (40 years old and i still have favourite players, loser!). Love his commitment and pure aggression! The long contract will equal a decent fee should a team come in.

Well done all concerned.

He has improved a lot and his passing is more precise and progressive.

Happy with a 3 year deal enough to have all of the player's peak years and none of his post peak. On current  form he is one of first names on the team sheet

As someone who supported him against some extremely harsh criticism early days, I’m delighted with this and he is making a number of people eat their words

Had a bad game last night given his recent standards.

Hopefully, the Price signing will motivate him to do better.

Thought the same - hoping he isn't a player who Corberan was getting to overachieve

You keep repeating this line despite it being incorrect.

He was dropped three times this season across the 24 games Carlos had.

That’s hardly “kept dropping him” is it?

He was dropped once because of injury and then the other two occasions was where we had Wednesday-Saturday fixtures.

So he was dropped then
When others who hadn’t performed held their positions ?
We might not agree on the term “dropped”
I’d suggest we might agree that he has deserved his minutes more than Racic/Wallace and a couple of others this term ?
I think he leaves a big gap when he’s not playing …different position but overall Jerome Thomas being considered just ok back in the day…but the matches he wasn’t in the team made a big difference.

You're so insistent that you want to be proved right on the Corberan issue that you continue to compare apple and pears.

You compare his minutes to that of Wallace.  Well, do you want Molumby on the wing now? I am sure you would be the first to criticise had Corberan adopted that approach.

Your argument was that Molumby kept being dropped which just patently not true.

Now we're moving the goalposts to look at the minutes on the pitch in comparison to others. But there's really no argument there either.

Alex Mowatt has over 2,000 minutes with 23 starts from 27 games
Jayson Mulumby has 1,700 minutes with 20 starts from 27 games (he missed two games due to injury)
Uros Racic - well its 900 minutes with 9 starts from 27 games

There are no other central midfielders who have played more minutes, so I am glad that you agree with Carlos Corberan in that Mowatt and Molumby were by far a more effective partnership than any other.

If Molumby was being dropped, so what? His performances have been very patchy. His passing has improved in that he is looking for forward passes, but he is restricted by not being able to turn on the ball (like Yokuslu used to). We need midfielders able to get forward and finish (as we can't just rely on our forwards), but he has a very weak shot, and seems entirely one footed. His energy can get the team revved up,  but we also need that extra bit of quality to open up opposing defences with a pass. I hope Price has that in his locker.

I hope Price is as tigerish in the tackle like Molumby.  He's worth his spot for the number of balls he wins / possession he gains.  He's needed when there are several others in the squad who  are very poor tacklers or just don't want to tackle..

I don’t need to be proven right on anything and certainly not Corberan
I have my view ,others have theirs …all fine
Transfermarkt state that he hasn’t been injured at all this season?
Anyhow I think he should always be one of the first names on the team sheet and we look much weaker without his energy.

What your not taking into consideration is Molumby is one of our few international players which means he's actually had no time off at all this season and has probably been rested because he has shown signs of tiredness rather than been dropped due to poor performance, what will be interesting now is how much game time he gets under Mowbray as i'm not sure he is the sort of player Mowbray prefers.

Molumby has stepped up very well in recent times when he's (sort of) become the senior central midfielder when the other few have been rotated. I have been a bit indifferent to him, but he's made a bit of an impression on me in the past month or so. Yes, his finishing has been lacking in a couple of important moments, and I don't think that's a great part of his game, but his energy and combative nature (within reason) is something we really need. He can get involved in the passing game too at times.

He'd be straight in the starting 11 for me at the moment in the central midfield over anyone else we've seen so far for us.

I think his "nouse" is often under estimated, he gets booked regularly and it seems often quite early in games, however he doesnt get sent off but remains combative.
I think this is what used to be known as "letting them know, early doors".

He isn't a show pony, but if I was a player I would want him alongside me on the pitch not on the bench. As for TM not rating players of his ilk, TM was a no frills player himself so I cannot see this at all.
