gone from being a nice win with positives to feeling like we didn't even win. Swansea aren't a team known for their height and set piece prowess yet we made them look like prime stoke at the end.

I beg for some new defenders.

This formation is desperate for a proper striker. Lets hope we see Maja today and he gives us some postiive signs that he can be the one.

What I would do for Dike to be fit for a season.

We can't go with 3 defensive minded midfielders again. Every time we did this last year and against Blackburn it never ends well. You need a no. 10 if there is only 1 striker.

I would go

                  Palmer

Furlong   Ajayi    Bartley   Townsend

         Yokuslu    Molomby

Wallace        Swift           Sarmiento

             BTA (Maja if fit)

Its hard to be optimistic for next season wiht our current ownership. I just hope that if Carlos can get a few more players that suit him then we will see results.
We really need a striker.

What should I do today:

Watch our game on Sky
Watch soccer Saturday and see all the goals as they go in for us and the other play off contenders at the same time
Hide behind the setee

think I will start with our game, if winning stick it to soccer sat.
then hide behind the sofa as we inevitibly bottle it.

I'm hoping that as Carlos is under contract with us, that we can put our foot down and stop any move happening this season; to force them to look elsewhere, presuming they do want to employ him. It's dog eat dog.

nothing we can do if they pay the money required in the contract and he wants to go. Can't keep him prisoner.

I love that he is commanding of his area. After years of watching Johnstone stuck to his line its good to see a keeper come out and claim crosses.

Looks a better all round keeper than SJ and has been making some cracking saves.

I know probably a lot of people here will not agree with me due to the Argentina thing but as someone who grew up loving to watch Messi play, I was so happy for him at the end.

A quite brilliant final. who saw that coming after 70 mins or so. Blockbuster stuff.

Isn;t it good to see an actual plan when going forward and defending, and not just hoping for something to happen.

5 wins in a row, keep looking up Baggies.

Woke up this morn excited for an Albion game for the first time in a long long time.

I felt liek i was losing touch with the Albion now I live so far away but going to the Sunderland game has reminded me why I love this club.

Wish I could be attending today. Hopefully soon I get the pennies together to get back to the Shrine.

Still not received my tickets that were ordered last week, Mail strike again on Friday so may have to pop up the ground to see what they suggest doing, may have to collect them from Sunderland ticket office .

I was told if they haven't arrived by sat morning to ring ticket office before mid day and they will organise a collection at the ground

This will be my first Albion game home or away since before Covid.

Hoping we get something to cheer for as its a long time to be only watching on tv / listening on radio.

As others have said its improtant we give him time. We all know the squad has many issues (mainly mentality of the "old guard"  i believe) and so all we can ask is this season he keeps us up and starts laying foundations.

given a couple of transfer windows and shifting the dead wood will make a big difference.

Hoping for a good director of football appointment too.

I think we need to support Corberan (assuming he is indeed incoming). All he needs to do this season is keep us up.

Then allow him to get rid of as much of this squad as possible and bring in players withthe right mentality.

Its obvious that the majority of players ar ebottle jos and the culture must be so wrong. Need the time to change this. a good DoF also a must.

Carlos Carvalhal is now favourite for the Albion job @2/1 on SkyBet

Interesting article about him in the link below

https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/european/carlos-carvalhal-interview-braga-portugal-b1825945.html?amp

to be fair this is a pretty interesting article and it shows that he has had a decent amount of success. More than other managers we are being linked with.

My immediate concern is however, is how on earth is he going to get that mentality into this braindead, useless squad

PAFC team / structure, includes 1. a DoF  2.a Assistant manager whose name struck fear into my heart (it aint him) 3. a head of recruitment and 4.a Senior Analyst,   Smacks far too much of a professional team and compo to be considered here.

Steven Schumacher
First Team Manager

Kevin Nancekivell
First Team Coach

Darren Behcet
Goalkeeping Coach

Elliot Turner
Fitness and Conditioning

Jimmy Dickinson
Head of Recruitment

Nick Fulton
Physiotherapist

Mark Hughes
Assistant Manager

Abner Bruzzichessi
Sports Therapist

Sam Morcom
Lead Performance Analyst

Neil Dewsnip
Director of Football

A very good, old friend of mine. absolute legend.

As for the point - yes we really need to see this kind f structure implemented. Its blindlingly obvious.
