Not enough shifting on...……………….Wallace, Bartley, Mowatt, Johnstone, Cole, Furlong should have also been looked at
( hopefully Bartley doesnt play under the new gaffer). The three being released aint nowhere near enough to change the make up of the squad. Still too many perennial bottlers who cant do it when it matters. Better hope this new gaffer has some fresh idea's who ever he is.
Can only hope somebody wants to buy them

Sorry I quoted the wrong post and then wasn’t clear with my comment!

In this instance I think their are young and hungry coaches with loads of potential- Muslic, Mousinho, Ramsay, who have the same talent as talented no2’s AND have had a bit of success at being no 1.

Mason and Heitinga would be a big risk. I’d get behind it but I think they need to go and do what the above 3 have done for a bit.

There are loads of exceptions such as Maresca and Arteta who have gone from no 2 to elite head coach but there are a lot more failures.
Mousinho is in his first job , Heitinga has managed in Erdivisie, Ramsay is a career coach ( never played as a pro ) . You can go round in circles it just proves there is no right and wrong in terms of experience/ previous jobs.

I'd like to see someone who has been a number 1 even at a lower level rather than a number 2 yes.   Someone hungry and determined to be successful.

I'd like to hear the Owners plans for the next 5 years.

You don't sell a one of the best goalkeepers in the league, for peanuts, in January when you have a chance promotion.   That is not ambition.
Don’t you think an awful lot of No2s will be very hungry and ambitious having served an “ apprenticeship “ especially the younger ones at bigger clubs as they’ll want to prove they could be a No1 at that sort of club in time !

If it is Mason or another number 2 then questions need to be answered.

I have my doubts over this ownership.  I realise I'm in the minority here.

I'm of the belief that they saw an opportunity to get a potential Premier League club on the cheap with little investment needed in order to get promoted.   To be fair that's just like Lai who thought we'd tick along in the lower half of the Prem.

Its a massive summer for the club and they need to convince the fans of their ambition for the club.
So you’d take the manager of let’s say Cheltenham above Mason or any other  No2 just because they’d been a head honcho ?
How would you like them to show “ their ambition “ ? You can’t just go out and spend millions in this day and age

Worrying if it’s Mason after such an appallingly coached Spurs team.
Could be he’s being asked to coach a system he doesn’t really believe in. Postocoglu has been said to be very one dimensional system wise

Our fan base are at some point going to have to get over judging incoming managers / head coaches on anything but footballing nous . We’d all like a really nice guy presiding over a top class football team the reality is that ain’t going to happen. Ferguson could be a knob , Wenger was blind and a moaner , Pep has his moments when he goes off on one . The Ancellottis of this world are few and far between and aren’t pitching up at the Hawthorns anytime soon . We have to get the best available man ( or woman) based on football alone and everybody involved with the club has to support them

Purely from a footballing point of view Martin has to come into the discussion. However it could get toxic very quickly if we start poorly with a squad the majority believe to be better or no worse than this seasons

I am beginning to feel sorry for whoever gets the job. Why? …. Because if they don’t get at least 33 points from the first 10 games( yes I know) than parts of our fan base will be wanting them gone. You only want have to look on here at the I don’t t want him, I’m not warming to another, he’s not experienced, don’t want him he’s a dinosaur blah blah to realise how difficult a job anybody’s going to have.

Sorry, I forgot about that. Zero isn’t correct. But wasn’t that just interim? Like Ryan Mason at Spurs?
It was about half a season . He took them from 5th to third but that meant no Champions league so was shown the door

Heitinga was head coach at Ajax

Talk of new stadium or stadium expansion is all we and good but its core business would still be WBA fc and without an improvement they aren't going to fill anything g over 32k o  a regular basis without giving more tickets to away fans thus negating any advantage the home side would seek to gain from increased crowds.
I know the counter argument is revenue could be increased through the rest of the year but that is 10/12 weeks max add on the building costs and you're back to the is it worth it conundrum .

Jack Wilshere won't be Norwichs next head coach apparently. I would have thought he fits the profile as much as Ryan Mason if that's the type we are looking for

It is so hard to tell based on U21/ reserve team football . There is little or no physical contact especially between the penalty areas and so at times it becomes almost like a basketball game. Gut instinct from what I’ve watched is that Parker could well do ok although because of his size I wonder if he’ll end up as a CB rather than a LB .

It has to be decided how we want to play before appointing the new head honcho. With hindsight going from Corberan's style to Mowbray was a massive leap of faith & one that' was unlikely  to have any chance of success at least in the short term.
The new man needs to appointed so he can appraise what he has and try and bring in what he needs/wants to implement the way he wants to set up. To do it the other way round is asking for trouble and likely to fail

Cleverly gone from Watford.

Watford fans don't seem too happy with the clubs decision
they tried to get rid of him in January but there was a backlash against

Chronological years act as a guide but it's how his post injury body adapts physiologically to the functions required of him that'll determine his biological age. Grasshopper  ;D .
Never were so many letters used in such a short sentence !  ;D ;D ;D

I would be tempted to switch him to the right next season  if/when we sell Fellows  and push  Styles  further forward on the left.
Regards Johnston I’ve thought there were times we could have at least tried that this season. I’m pretty sure he played on the right on occasions for Celtic

Not sure I’d credit the stand in management team too much
Wallace is injured or he would have got minutes
Fabrotta no one ever picks him
Swift I think has a knock
Holgate has been in and out anyway, but for me is much better than Bartley (unless it’s a pointing and blaming competition in which case Bart’s is Ballon d’or class)

Also ,and I don’t want to be the grinch
But whilst we on,we conceded 3 at home to a team that got relegated.
They scored two of those after taking their main striker off and even though we got 5 still looked nervous in the last 10 mins ..
Almost any other team in that league would have got a draw yesterday .
I’ll bow to your judgement on Swift being injured even if I’d suspect it was his ego ! However Frabotta and Holgate weren’t even on the bench. I also meant that they’d done their homework in tweaking the positions of Grant and Fellows who and by doing so caused Luton loads of problems also it was noticeable how many more bodies we were getting in and around the penalty area when we were attacking
