Anyone going to this? I had planned to but not sure I'll both now. I expect it will be a pretty week side picked from the same group as yesterday but with more kids playing to rest likes of Mulumbu, Dorrans, Olsson & Pocognoli who have played a lot already.

Given we are unlikely to any of the player who missed yesterday's game, or any new signings involved until Saturday, I can't help but feel that this game is a bit of an inconvenience.

I'm going but mainly as its a ground I've never been to before, tick it off the list.

I've been offered a lift. Will go if work doesn't get in the way.

About right. Might have gone if we had some forwards debuting but yesterday was just a bore and waste of time and money to be honest.
I'll think I'll wait for the real stuff to begin now !

Just seen the goal.

Exquisite through ball and a composed finish from Roofe.

where?!

Facebook/Sky Sports news.

They have a reporter at the game and they showed the goal - somebody recorded it and uploaded it onto one of the fan groups.

Awful defending for both their goals. I know it's only pre season but from what I've seen so far our defending is worse than last season.

Whilst our players will be trying to avoid injuries, so will Port Vale's, particularly as their season starts a week earlier than ours, so what's happened so far tonight is pretty underwhelming.

In terms of this friendly being an inconvenience, we don't seem to have had that many first team friendlies and there's only one left after this for Irvine to try out any experimental tactics. The concerning injuries we've had throughout pre-season, and the recent drawn out transfers, are really hindering our preparation for the new season, with seemingly little hope now of us hitting the ground running.
