How to watch online?
« on: August 03, 2018, 05:36:47 PM »
Hi all,

Has anyone found a reliable way of watching all Albion's Championship matches?  I took a look at iFollow on the official wba.co.uk site but it looks like most matches will only be available as audio and highlights.   I'm not necessarily looking for a dodgy pirate site; I'm happy to pay a subscription.  Any ideas?

Even on the dodgy boxes Championship games very hit and miss, sometimes one game is shown but nothing regular

An option is Now TV which is Sky and pay around £6.50 a game when covered by them. Sky quality. Not all games found this listing.

3 options as I know it .
Ifollow - You need to be overseas to get the package , heard its been clamped down on using the VPN.
Sat 3pm - Last season one random 3pm was shown each week , believe its Ipswich first off .
Sky - nothing needs saying on that.
Not aware if betting sites show the odd game like when we were last at this level.

Bobby Taylor- Still Super to me.

That's an interesting thought re iFollow.  It looks pretty pointless as a UK based subscriber but I hadn't thought that it might be different for an overseas person.  Has anyone ever tried it using hidemyass or a similar VPN?

You can't tell if someone's using a VPN so I'm not sure about that. Just make sure to turn off any location services on the device you're using.

I think the VPN issue would be fine, but would iFollow allow you to buy with a UK card/UK address for a foreign country? i.e. if they see you're 'based' in the USA, but your payment is from the UK - would they block you as it looks dodgy?

Several IPTV providers are now including iFollow in their packages. Google it.

With the IPTV service I use. You get tge ifollow streams rebroadcasted so no VPN needed. Ive used it for years now and it's as reliable as it gets. Ive watched every single albion match in HD apart from a couple of friendlies and the odd cup game. If anybody wants more info...pm me.

In case anyone is unclear about it, it's worth pointing out that, as with similar streaming services, it's not legal to watch games on IPTV - see Daily Express. On top of that, I gather that with IPTV you have to pay.

Touche!

Anyway to answer the question it’s like online tv. Except instead of going to bbc or sky’s website you download a special application for your tv (if connected to the internet) and pay a host to be given a code or access. Then you generally can get better quality direct streams of all the foreign and uk channels, some of which show championship games.

So I'm based overseas, sorry if this is a stupid question (can't find any clarity on the website) but if I buy a 'match pass' for the Bolton game, does that mean I will be able to watch the game live? Or is it audio commentary only? or live text only?  ???

Correct. Channel 37 on freeview. 9pm tonight or 10am tomorrow. There’s a plus 1 channel too if you miss the start on channel 83
