OK we can't defend corners
We also can't attack them properly. I am fed up of seeing us looping to the back post and knocking on. We rarely do it right. Why not whip it in to the front post Once in a while

Set pieces rarely result in anything worthwhile

Set pieces need some work.

Corners taken without whip and pace, we will never score from one. The defending of corners under Mel is woeful

I remember a few seasons back, maybe under Mowbray / RDM whenever we conceded a corner you could pretty much chalk that up as a goal against. Roy sorted it out and it's getti g worryingly similar to those days again

We lost to a really bad goal against West Ham too. In the Prem you simply have to be able to defend corners and freekicks.

a manager can only really decide on who marks who, dawson lost giroud and it cost us. we do miss gmac who rarely loses an aerial battle.

Discussing this at half time.
A real weakness in the current set up that needs addressing prior to next season.

McAuley has converted 2 Brunt corners this season. I believe they are the only two.

To be fair after a couple of poor ones Dorrans put in two or three decent corners we should have done better with especially Dawson.

According to this we have the 2nd lowest number of goals scored from set pieces in the Premier League with 6. This really is an area we need to address. Good to see that we have the 8th highest amount of goals scored from open play this season.

Fulham away and Palace at home weren't they?
