Not for me sorry.
Peace has done an outstanding job and whilst I can see that some mistakes have been made , still think he's the man for the job.
I notice people slating the lack of spending, are they the same people moaning about the money that went on anichebe/Sessegnon and even Anelka / rosenberg wages ?.
Not that we are fickle , not that we have been spoilt but the first sign of real trouble in the prem and we need to get rid of the main main , the technical director, the coaching team, half the playing staff?
I tend to agree, and there's no question that when things don't go to plan it seems that a large proportion of our fanbase seem to be falling over themselves to throw in the towel, and in the cases of one or two, you can almost visualise them hammering out their posts on their keyboards with steam coming out of their ears and every other orifice.
My own view is that the club has been totally transformed for the better in just about every aspect since Peace took control. He appeared to have a strategy for running the club and has for the most part stuck with this with a few tweaks along the way as certain aspects proved to be working better than others.
So from a personal perspective I can't knock the bloke for the impact he's had on the club.
One thing that has always struck me is that the plaudits we've received for the manner in which the club has been run and, by the standards of the period between around 1983 to 2000, the great success we have achieved, has often been from outside the club itself rather than from our own supporters.
Clearly though the whole issue of trying to balance realistic expectation and ambition will never be universally agreed, though it does seem that some of our fans have short memories.
But however unpalatable it may be for some, the odds in modern football and in particular the Premiership are stacked against clubs like Albion and it only takes one bad season for our Premiership status to come crashing down, and clearly that might be this season (though hopefully not).
I know there are many who hope for some Billionaire type owner to come in to enable the club to kick on, but again this is fraught with risk, especially if we were to end up with a new owner, unfamiliar with English football traditions, and intent on the dreaded re-brand, maybe relocation, kit change or any other nightmarish scenario. You just never know what we might get.
After saying all that, it does feel to a certain extent that the club has drifted this season and there's no question that the transfer market activity has hardly been a great success, which is quite unlike Albion who have been so astute over recent seasons.
While none of us want some motormouth Owner hogging the headlines, I do feel that a bit more communication from JP would be a good thing, particularly as supporter morale clearly needs a boost.
One other thing, again just a personal view, is that if the worst comes to the worst, then so be it, and it won't be the end of my world in the slightest. I'm West Brom through and through and will be there supporting them home, and for many away matches, regardless of whether or not we end up in the Championship (which clearly is a possibility). I don't want it to happen but surely it wouldn't be the biggest shock in the world? But it's not as if WBA Fc will suddenly disappear and we all self combust or anything.
Hopefully we can turn things around, and pull away from the relegation zone, and we can regroup in the Summer but all I can do is cheer them on, and I suppose the honest truth is that there are some aspects of the overhyped Premiership, and the impact it's had on some of our fans, that I really won't miss if the worst comes to the worst.
