I know it's a competition that doesn't really matter but if our Academy is good shouldn't it be able to compete with league 2 teams?

We appear to be unable to win a bleeding raffle.

I used to think that way too..but it's just a run out and a chance for some seniors to keep or regain their fitness and to give the youngsters some vital competitive minutes....I do get disappointed when we lose even in friendlies but think that the bigger picture revolves around game time and the ultimate goal ..staying in the Premiership...

Luton side was woeful as well, 6-7 U20 were playing, a few of them had played first team football but still we should be competiting with them, By the looks of it we were pounded, ye we were missing 3 or so key u20 players but we shoudnt be losing this match

I must admit to being puzzled as to why Wilson, Field and Leko weren't playing last night? They need to keep their match fitness up as much as Olsson, Gardner and McManaman and you'd hope their inclusion would have made us a bit more competitive.

You would imagine that the point of entering this competition was to give our best younger players additional experience in games that have a different dimension to the youth league they're involved in.

Did anybody from these boards actually go to watch this and tick off a ground?

As an aside, what a shocking penalty from Callum McManaman  :o .
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.

No. Haven't been to Millwall or Luton so initially I was interested in going but the more I thought about it the more I hated the idea of us being in the competition and didn't think it would be right to go to the games.

My feelings entirely.
