Also, he was the first player to score in every round of that competition. Does anyone know why he was nicknamed "Chippy" though?
He went for a bag of chips everyday after training ...
One of my all-time favourite Albion players .

You have my goodbyes and I wish you all good luck with your club. It was a great time and as much I want to I just can't stay to support the club with a board like this one. Thank you for this great trip

Oh dear ,How sad ,  Never mind...........

Can I just point out he was awful yesterday and has the positional sense of a labrador chasing a stick. Drawn to the ball too easily and charges out leaving massive gaps.
what you really mean is.. he heads everything clear  .. and he moves very well with the ball

A decent player I think.

Embarrassing and unprofessional. I'm coming down for the Huddersfield game - my first since the Pulis appointment - but if our most experienced players can't behave themselves then I'm struggling to be bothered any more.
Barry - blown his model professional tag in spectacular style
Livermore - England international that the club recently heavily backed following West Ham
Evans - captain and highly rated and to this point respected for his professionalism
Myhill - fat, unambiitious waste of space claiming his salary

The shame is on them, not our club. Barry especially.

Field spoke a while ago about how great it was to work with our experienced players. Some role models.

Breaking club rules, drunk driving, theft.

I honestly wouldn't care if we never saw them again, and while I feel sorry for Pardew, if any one of them is in the squad today then I'll have lost any respect I had for him. It's his team - he needs to set the tone.
...You missed out bearded  :)

Albion actually  won Quiz Ball  in the 67/68 series ... beating Nottingham Forest in the final
2-1 .
People always said at the time that Albion had won the Double ...F A Cup and Quizball !
Jeff Smith the Celeb guest for Albion was the World Motocross Champion.
(the local journalist referred to would I think be Simon Smith sports presenter on Midlands TV news ...Boxing always His big thing)
Ossie was famous for always going "route four please".

50 years ago.. Good God !

at least 5 generations of my family were born and bred in west brom, and I'm very proud of that fact, hence the reason I support the baggies (my local team). One of the things I like about being around proper black country blokes is that we don't tend to be terribly snobby ! By the way who do you think founded wba in the first place, good old working class black country men. Not snobs

Well said... PROUD OF OUR TOWN .. PROUD OF OUR TEAM.
