West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: WBA Next Manager/Head Coach Thread
« on: October 19, 2022, 11:27:28 PM »
Jody morris would be interesting. Not my choice but by all accounts a good coach, especially with youth which we need to start integrating in. Only reason he’s not with Lampard is because he wants to be a manager.

I’m hoping for Corberan though, his Huddersfield team were excellent with no money spent really. Desperate for a technical director and proper scouts thiugh.

The reason he’s not with Lampard is because Frank fell out with him and ditched him

He’s blocked me because I took the ****. It wasn’t even nasty, just made a comment along the lines of Luke Dowling never signing his name without checking in with him.

Absolutely everything he’s ever posted has been broken or been suggested elsewhere on the web first.  I use the website newsnow which pulls any story involving us anywhere on the net in to one place and there’s always a story pre-dating his ‘breaking news’.  Sometimes it’s from an obscure site though and he can be quite quick in tweeting my so I can see why sometimes people fall for it.

Used to follow him on Twitter and he’s so full of rubbish. Went into a meltdown over Wagner and then pretending to be ITK over this one. I know people well placed at the club and they don’t know anything. Sad person he is

Disaster if Campbell is involved. One of the business associates linked to Campbell worked with Big Sam as an analyst at Palace and Everton. 10 mins on Google and it’s scary reading. Hope any bid connected to him is kicked into touch and he gets nowhere near our club

Brunty on the bench,

5
I think this is the one player who could make such a difference
We’ve really wanted him
Hope we get it done

Good signing at this level, will get chances with those around him

7
If he secures promotion then it’s a no brainier. Guaranteed 20+ goals. £10m if promoted which is nothing in the greed league.

8
If we’re in the mix then great. He has a calf injury but I wonder how bad it really is or does he just want out

Worth mentioning Brunts contribution. He may not play every game but class is permanent and he has a role to play

Why are we chatting about Leeds
Sawyers ?? Is he coming

Think this is one Bilic is really after. Can play both wings and No 10 plus he has goals in him. Any loan is usually option to buy at the end, protects both parties. Reports seem quite accurate

12
Think this one could resurface

The quality of our players has got him out of jail tonight. Again the team selection was wrong and the substitutions (or lack of) were awful. There's no game plan at all and tonight was embarrassing at times. Needs to learn very very quickly or he needs replacing.

The fact we had Dean Smith on a plate makes me want to cry.

Are you for real ???
It’s a learning curve
New No 2 as well
Look at it after 10-12 games

Very rare that deals like this happen and very unlikely to be a loan both ways IMO

Maybe i’ll be proved totally wrong but I don’t recal a ‘Teamtalk’ exclusive ever being 100%
Time will tell,

I think Lai has to take a bit of the blame. He let things get out of hand and should have had his fingerprints all over the club. He just forked our nearly £200m.

Got serious worries about where we are going as a football club.

Out Italian friend is being paid a fortune for 6 months work . Consultants don’t care do they.

Managerial choice will be interesting

Two points dropped in the end, sloppy for their goal, but came back into it. A point isn't a terrible result but considering we've lost to virtually every relegation contender around us, unfortunately we need to be winning some of the games like this.

Unfortunately that's happened far too many games now, reminds me a bit of Mowbray's season were we will look back on a lot of games we didn't get the points we should have from. Considering we have Chelsea and City away in our next 3 games, anything but a win against Southampton will virtually relegate us.

Bloody hell, glass half empty all right. We’re on a good little run, playing well and lots of points to be had at home and you have us relegated

Burke tore up the Championship and got a move to the Bundesliga, Leko can't get into the Bristol City team... Have another look.

He was good in the championship
Enough said and rubbish in Germany
Mark my words a complete waste of money

I think Burke will prove to be the biggest waste of £15m in our history. Granted he’s only had a few subs appearances but why spend all that money on a young winger when you have a better one in Leko. Should have been some t on a centre forward.
