Our passing still wayward.

Yep, we work really hard to keep things tight and win the ball back, then a sloppy pass means we concede possession back too quickly.  Doesn't give us time to get up the pitch.

Johnstone with three good saves, Gallagher our best player on the pitch by a country mile.

Not a terrible half - 2 great saves from SJ have kept us in it though.  The second save was exceptional.

We're just too sloppy in possession so we can't get a comfortable foothold when we attack.  Ajayi has done well picking attackers up but he's been poor when he's had the ball at his feet, Sawyers not great either.

Gallagher has been excellent and seems to be the midfielder that pushes us forward.  Pierera has shown glimpses but there's not much point in him having the ball just inside our half - he needs it further forward.

Defending well but too rushed in possession, need a bit of confidence and composure.
Townsend been very good to be fair, Furlong not so much.
I'd go Robinson for Diangana and OShea for Furlong.
Still in it but we'll have to be very lucky to keep a clean sheet.

Happy enough with that. Townsend so much better this season.

Solid enough but United look very poor. We have absolutely nothing up front. We needed a Deeney type to make it stick in games like this.

Johnstone has made one good save from Martial from close range. The two other saves he has made, header from a deep free kick and a back pass from a cheeky set piece trying to catch him out were routine stuff.

I think Furlong has been 'ok', Townsend has been better going forward than Furlong but has been worse in defence.  The lofted ball to the back post that we nearly conceded from came from Townsend not picking his man up.

Another good performance. Everybody giving 100%. Gallagher gives us so much in midfield. Pereira back at his best. Townsend's best game so far. Man U still look more likely to score, but just hope heads don't drop if it happens.

Give him a break, he’s played well so far.... so far!

Strange that Diangana hasn’t done anything since he signed on the dotted line. Last season he was playing for a transfer and big pay packet - no such incentive this season.
Same could apply to Matheus Pereira.

I've enjoyed that first half. But I felt that way against Spurs.

I do think this team isn't the finished product, says a lot that Livermore isn't on the pitch.

As already stated, Gallagher is pure class out there, shame we've only got him for one season but I dearly hope that will be enough for us. Finally... SJ has been superb for us so far today.

3 halves of football since the potential of Bilic being sacked was made public. You can't say the players aren't playing for him.

Johnstone is however keeping us in the game from all accounts. That can't continue. We have to offer more going forward or we need those in the stripes to protect their goalkeeper more.

Well, it's 0-0. Feels like we're clinging on at times and then at other times we look like we might pop up and surprise...heart in mouth the whole half.

Were doing well the game is there to be won.
Would be tempted to try Robinson in place of diangana in the next 15 minutes and see how we far.

If periera can get his final pass right you never know.
I would still take the point though

Or it's just a lot tougher in the Premier League where we have far less of the ball in useful positions.

I dont think Furlong has been poor, he's marking Rashford....not an easy job. Townsend has done really well going forward. Pereira has done really well with no space at all...they are closing him down so quickly....Diangana has so much ability but looks unsure what to do with it sometimes...Gallagher excellent....got to cut out silly mistakes and we can take a point tonight.

Pereira one of the best players on the pitch. Needs to pick the right pass and hope someone gets on the end of it.

Not Grant's fault at all.  I can't really recall him doing poorly, he's just not being even given a sniff of the ball.  We can't say he's not holding it up when the ball is constantly being smashed over the top of his head.  If he starts being given the ball and not holding it up (or as I like to call it a 'Kanu'), then fair enough.
