Well done Steve Bruce, seems to be moving us in the right direction at last.

I totally agree.  No names mentioned but there are some on here who I actually doubt whether or not they support Albion.

Either that or they are just miserable sods!

I thought that was a pre-requisite for supporting the Albion!

I fail to see how moving out Alex Mowatt to Middlesbrough is of benefit to WBA?

Maybe you can explain as to why you feel totally the opposite?

Its the Steve Bruce thread, discuss Mowatt in the Mowatt thread and Livermore in the Livermore thread, sick of topics being turned round to Livermore and one mans hatred of him. Anymore and the posts will go.

It frees up his wages for a new striker
He flatters to deceive started off OK then dissappeared
Also he seems to have a lot to say for himself perhaps a bit disruptive in and around the dressing room, although I have no evidence of that and with Okay joining its a pretty ob ious and clever timing move
Don't forget it's only a poor Bruce decision if he plays well for them, bit of a flash in the pan player that we don't need
I'm happy with Bruce atm

I think that quite a few posters have already eloquently explained this Greg.

To clarify another point you made, it may be that other clubs have enquired about the likes of Phillips, Zohore, Reach etc but are put off by the wages requirements. If two of these were to go and we paid 50% of the wage, that will free up enough for us to have a half decent player on loan, but it is wrong to say that no one has been  in for them because you don't know.

Bruce has had a squad player shifted, bought in 3 decent players, and there were no complaints about last weeks performance against Watford, which has been compared to anything as good as the pre covid Bilic team, so Black Pearl was spot on with his comment.

Lets see what happens over the next week or so.

MAGA!

Ask yourself why Middlesbrough wanted Mowatt above any other WBA player?  Maybe it's because he's more than half decent and they don't want to compromise on quality?

As I said we have inadvertently strengthened a promotion rival.

There's no money , we need at least one if not two forwards . Mowatts as far as we know is the only one we got a offer for , big wage off the bill by all accounts .
Not ideal but I don't see what else Bruce can do .

I don't need to Greg, I am perfectly happy with the move to a bloke who thought Olly Burke was better than Robinson.

This is only any good if we are improving on Robinson and Grant,

Probably because after the first couple of games its obvious Mowatt doesn't seem to feature in Bruce's plans, if he did then he wouldn't be going anywhere. There's also the possibility the player wanted to go and has had discussions with Bruce behind closed doors.

Possibly one of those who wanted to live further than 1 hour away or whatever Bruce set out.

He's from Doncaster so maybe reluctant to move.

Not sure that you appreciate the ever present impact of financial matters within the club. SB obviously needs a striker. He has been told that the budget has no wiggle room unless somebody leaves thus creating a wage for an incoming striker. We get an offer to take Mowatt’s wage off our hands. The club reluctantly agrees since no one wants any of the ones we would prefer to leave. SB is not in charge of financial matters. If a striker now comes in who increases goal scoring for the team, the club has benefited from Mowatt moving to Boro.

Wilder admitted he had to replace the outgoing Tavenier with a similar player.

Isn't Tavernier a full back? Came down from Scotland?
