Bruce has the best squad in the Championship, bar none.

There are no excuses.

Steve just do your job properly.......

Bruce is just an embarrassment.

Livermore starting, bringing Phillips and Reach off the bench, he just can't help himself.

We only have the best squad in the division.

Lose to Hull and the West Brom grocery stores will need to stick up.

A slow 32 year old playing in 32C heat.

Just the 43 league starts to go........

Bruce out

I agree (sadly).  Genuinely not looking for anyone to fail.  I don't see much hope with him making decisions like these.

There's no money , we need at least one if not two forwards . Mowatts as far as we know is the only one we got a offer for , big wage off the bill by all accounts .
Not ideal but I don't see what else Bruce can do .

This is only any good if we are improving on Robinson and Grant,

I think that quite a few posters have already eloquently explained this Greg.

To clarify another point you made, it may be that other clubs have enquired about the likes of Phillips, Zohore, Reach etc but are put off by the wages requirements. If two of these were to go and we paid 50% of the wage, that will free up enough for us to have a half decent player on loan, but it is wrong to say that no one has been  in for them because you don't know.

Ask yourself why Middlesbrough wanted Mowatt above any other WBA player?  Maybe it's because he's more than half decent and they don't want to compromise on quality?

As I said we have inadvertently strengthened a promotion rival.

You have an opinion on something and typical of the modern day twitterati brigade you bang on and on "trying" to force others to agree and then getting snotty, abusive and disrespectful to others when they have the nerve to have a differing view, its boring.

You now what, the stuff I say is on a smaller scale to the ridiculous bombardment of Johnstone suffered last season, which was completely unnecessary IMO.

As for Mowatt's move, it's bonkers thinking from Steve Bruce.  We will have to be exceptional to better Grant and Robinson from here and if SB can pull it off then I will change my view and apologise.

Zohore, Phillips, Livermore and Reach are adding zero, there is a reason we cannot shift them!

Well done Steve Bruce, seems to be moving us in the right direction at last.

I fail to see how moving out Alex Mowatt to Middlesbrough is of benefit to WBA?

Maybe you can explain as to why you feel totally the opposite?

So you think Mowatt is that good? And he will strengthen boro? Not the Mowatt i saw last season won't. Grant misses to many chances, and Robinson same as Mowatt.

Mowatt is better than Livermore, last season he was playing with injections, did you know?

Port Vale or Walsall can't come anywhere close to Livermore's wages, that's why they haven't made a loan offer for JL.

Alex Mowatt is a loss and I'm sad to see him go to a promotion rival, which makes absolutely no sense from West Bromwich Albion's perspective.

You are moaning about Grant and Robinson?  Jeez.  Who are we going to sign then?  I'd love to guage your opinion of Zohore?

You speak like everybody disagrees with you, we don’t. I want Livermore dropped I’ve been saying it for years. It’s like you’re completely blind to those that agree with you.

Standing up and going against the grain, really? The ones that stick up for Livermore and back him are doing that. You’re not some sort of anarchist you just think the same as most of us and bring it to almost every single regular thread. You just need to stand up and admit it, you’re with the populous, not against it, and that’s fine.

Really?  Plenty of folks on here backing Livermore to the hilt (because he is a nice guy & loyal to the Albion).

So you’re agreeing with me then? Because if a club doesn’t come for a player they don’t go.

If a club comes for a player then they can go if it fits. Hence Mowatt is out the door for a CF.

It’s really that simple.

It certainly fits the bill for Middlesbrough.  I don't have a clue how it benefits us (strengthening a rival).

It's far from straight forward getting a CF better than what we have already (Grant & Robinson).

The song from Frozen comes to mind every time I read your posts. How does it go…? Let it go…Let it gooooo…

Can I just add, who cares? He’s scored what, 3 wonder goals, played good for a few months? Mirrors Ismael’s WBA career. He’ll probably do alright for a bit and then disappear. If it means we can sign a CF then I’m all for it as Bruce wasn’t going to use him.

I think I hit a nerve there.

You know that what I'm saying is correct.  It's just that I'm prepared to stand up and say it how it is, and possibly go against the grain?

Or the striker we sign because we've freed up money bangs a few goals in and we finish ahead.

Or boro get the Mowatt we've seen who rarely gets involved and will hide in games.

If Mowatt was this amazing player would Bruce let him go? Hiw come we didn't see it in 95% of games last season?

Because Mowatt was injured most of the time and playing with injections to get through matches and statistically he was better than the player still kept here!

Do you just nominate a team for Livermore to go to mate? No club would take him. Mowatt had to go to free wages for a CF.

Generally how it works is a club will make a offer for a player.... All this talk about Zohore, Bartley, Livermore still at the club whilst Mowatt goes is stupidity., offers have only come in for Mowatt so he goes the others stay.

And ask yourself why no club wants Reach, Phillips, Zohore or Livermore?

I am telling you, no Championship.club would be interested in those 4 not even Rotherham.

Middlesbrough must think it's Xmas.

Ridiculous decision by Bruce to lose a good quality Championship player to a promotion rival.

What's in it for WBA?  A big fat zero as we don't get any money.

How can Livermore be a better option?

This is on Bruce, I hope this works out?

The only way Bruce can verify this decision is to keep winning league games and get us averaging at least 2 PTS per game.

Otherwise huge questions will be asked.

Mowatt is strongly rumoured to be going to Middlesbrough on loan and who could blame him?

A real own goal that would be by the club.

We don't know what's going on behind the scenes with Robinson and Preston plus he's been injured.

OK.  Bruce needs to do the obvious and drop Livermore.  We need to be ruthless in selection and start winning.  Then we can fight for the title.

Bringing Reach on wasn't ridiculous. Diangana had cramp and that's on the back of a recent knock. Absolutely the right thing to take him off and given that Albion are probably still unsure whether Robinson is leaving for Preston or not, Reach was the obvious choice to come on.

Reach is no good, Robinson is more than decent.  Who knows if CR is going or staying?  There was a football match to be won.

He's not as good as Livermore though.

.....   :P

Molumby has always been superior to Livermore, which makes the latter's selection absolutely puzzling.

Bruce has a very good set of Championship players - thanks to Gourlay getting these quality signings over the line.

2 things he needs to do now:

1) Re-integrate Robinson into the set up, now we have lost Dike, even if from the bench.
2) Drop Livermore now for Yokuslu.

A black mark was the needless and ridiculous move of subbing on Reach.

If Bruce is sensible and makes the right choices, we will win a lot of football matches and make us fans happy, which in turn more than keeps him in a job.

"You just choose to reinvent the thoughts of others - or puts words into others"

This is factually an incorrect statement.  They are my own views on Livermore and no-one else's.

Lol.

And WBA have fended off multiple Premier League suitors for our players over last few seasons?  I sincerely hope attention is not diverted to ex players who play for other clubs, it's a waste of time and irrelevant.

So if I continue to criticise Livermore it's because he plays for us.

You have failed to mention Molumby in your last post also ;D
