The comment I noticed was that since the hoof ball has gone away and he is playing with better players he is thriving! His stats for the start of this season sort of back it up too! If it is £300k buy out then it’s worth a punt, we put enough crosses in the box for someone to put a few away.
Always happy to have a risk on these in case they turn out to be a great find! Better than employing an older player who wants mega bucks.
Good luck to him if he arrives.

Is it definite that BTA has had a medical?  If so, he must have agreed terms,  otherwise you wouldn’t have a medical would you.

With Robbo out the squad tonight maybe we will be replacing him with Asante and still going for a proper number 9 on loan.

I expect a deal would be agreed in principle if he's having a medical

Would be a strange, albeit very Albion move to sign someone who was a mediocre league 2 winger but has recently thrived as a striker, then play them as a wide player again....

A slight glimmer of hope.

Just wait for the news tomorrow our brainiacs have sold Callum Robinson for 500k to finance the deal

I really don’t understand this at all. The transfer itself is decent business, cheap, good age profile and we will probably make a profit as long as he’s not total garbage.

But we need a number 9, he’s been playing up front in a 2 and has played out wide quite a lot. Looks like Robinson is on his way out so we’re not even strengthening the squad unless we bring in another proven forward.

Worth a punt if he's just an extra man we're bringing in.

If this is who we are pinning the season and the summer transfer window over, then not so much.  It's a big ask for the kid.

Medical tomorrow according to the guy who broke Blues agreeing a few (Alex Howell). I like this kind of signing, could be a world beater, could be back in League 2 next year. Players with a bit of hunger to succeed, we should do this so much more often than we do.

Wonder who scouted him. This is very unlike WBA.

Sounds like Blues agreed something first and then we got wind of it.

I hope he turns out to be a great signing. On the other hand I hope the wages are sensible in case it goes pear shaped. We don’t need another player that no one else can afford if we want to sell or loan him out.

I'll reserve judgement on this as it could be a shrewd bit of business..i just don't see him being our current saviour for the current crisis.

L2 players on about 2k a week i think on average so if hes on 5k here he's easily doubled his wages.

If we have signed him as the replacement/saviour then that's really unfair on the kid. Hopefully not. Bruce said our  awesome transfer department has skewered the ducks with some irons out of the fire.

Worse than that , we’re actually only loaning CR out.

Or worse still this might be one of those signings for the future where we loan him straight back to Salford! 😮
