Has the kid played in premier before?
Is he THAT good ?
Whats his injury record like ?
He's young does he have the stamina required for every week at the highest level?

I'm being devils advocate but this thread reads as though he is the 2nd coming, (I hope he is). Lets see how he beds in before we heap all this expectation on him.  Sorry to pee on folks chips but really .....

We've got plenty of players who've played this level before who various posters say arent good enough. Our best 2 players haven't played this level before.

Not something to be overly concerned about imo.

Very happy with the signing, will bring some much needed energy to an extremely lethargic central midfield currently. Was impressed every time I saw him last season.

No, he hasn't played in the Premier League, but they all have to start somewhere.

He got 6 goals and 4 assists in 26 games for a fairly average Charlton side, and 7 assists in 19 games for a resurgent Swansea team.

Given he played 45 games last season, I'd say yes, he has the stamina. And those 45 games averaged 86 minutes per game, so he was generally playing the full 90.

He might not be the answer, but he's got as good a chance of being decent as anyone else we have

Hasn't played in premier before so it's and unknown to see if he will be any good.

I saw him a few times last season. Didn't exactly set the championship alight.

In my opinion about on par with Krov. He's not a Harvey Barnes !!

I'd be willing to bet he won't start on Saturday. Gallagher that is.

No Saturday has come too soon for him and he won't play the week after because we play Chelsea. So it could be 2 weeks before we see anything of him !!

Probably right but, it seems this transfer was agreed sometime ago so he may be fit enough for Slav to take a punt., especially if he ditches the horrible 5 at the back and goes 3 in the middle.
Would be a kick in the nads for Field though after the gaffer's musings in the week.

Not unless he plays a midfield of Field, Livermore and Gallagher.

Or better yet, Field, Sawyers and Gallagher.

We know Livermore would play but like the balance of the three, Field (Livermore) shielding the back 3, Sawyers the creator and Gallagher box to box providing a goal threat.

I too would like Field, CG and Sawyers but Livermore is going to play when fit I feel.

Might Conor make the bench today along with Ivanovic one asks, or given our performance last week, might they start?

I think Bilic said that Ivanović will need a short time before he makes the side. Who knows - Gallagher may and should start.

I’ll have money with anyone that Bilić won’t drop Livermore or sawyers for the next match...

Surprised he didn't even make the bench today. I suppose he could make his debut vs Brentford mid week but is unavailable next weekend.

On today's showing, we will really need him to take to the level like a duck to water.

CG must play against Brentford as should Bran as they need game time.
