I'm expecting to see Wallace starting up front and Maja on the bench.  If we needed a win desperately we could risk starting Maja, but we aren't in that position... yet.

Let's be honest, if anyone outside the top 4 sneaks through the playoffs it would be a bit of a travesty, but that shouldn't stop us going for it if we can!

3-0

So much for Preston.

Only Hull can realistically catch us in my opinion.
I think so, and they have got it together the last few games.  Tough run in though.

77 as of now, that's if Hull win all 4.   I can see them getting 9 or 10, so perhaps 1 win will do it.  I want us to be on the up though, not stuttering and stumbling.  Hopefully BTA's red mist will show us at least something we need NOT to do.

The ref turned it into a training game with that daft pen, but we got to conserve energy for Saturday, which will be a different kettle of fish

As long as we qualify we won't have to play Norwich,Hull,Boro,Coventry or Preston till Wembley so we would only have to face them in a one off match if we get to Wembley we would have to beat third or fourth over two legs to get there.
I'd like the table to finish as it is so Ipswich and Norwich get to kick the shizzle out of each other, leaving them knackered against us after we ease past Soton...

Norwich haven’t got great away form so it’s not a given, but we very much need to take care of our business this week and put 6 points on the board.
Sheff Wed pretty tough at home generally, and they'll be fighting for their lives.  I don't care if Norwich catch us, as long as Coventry don't.  As for our game, just get it won whatever.

I agree with most of that but just to point out that contrary to what everybody says we do actually play 442 off the ball and have done since Carlos's second game in charge except that spell at the start of the season where we played three at the back.

I do agree in that at times we leave the midfield light particularly away from home. Stoke and QPR are two games that spring immediately to mind where we could've done with an extra man in there and reverting to a 433. We do have the personnel to do that now we could easily add M'Vila alongside Okay and Mowatt but it doesn't appear to be an option CC favours.
I know what you mean about the off the ball shape, but maybe just keep that shape for ten or fifteen minutes when we need to - if we had BTA and Diangana left up front they'd keep the opposition honest

my guess is a bench appearance Wednesday.
Let's hope he can get ten minutes if the game is safe

There is always a danger that any coach will imagine that he has found a system that will conquer all.  We saw it big time with Moore (or maybe it was Jones) and then Ismael.  Other clubs work it out and play accordingly.  CC leaves the midfield light, and we have seen at times that young energetic teams (eg QPR and Sunderland, and to some extent Stoke on Sat) simply overrun us there.  I know he has the flexible plan B to go 5 at the back, but I think we should be ready to go more like 442 at times during a game.

I'm happy to be booed as an armchair expert, but it's just a general point, not a massive attack on CC.

On paper a game we should win but unfortunately we don’t play on paper, haven’t had a decent 90 minute performance since Plymouth away. Carlos needs to let go of handbrake for this one play Fellow’s, Grady in the hole behind Brandon with Mikey on left wing. Think I would freshen up midfield by giving Yann and Adam a run out at the expense of Okay and Mowatt.
Not sure I'd go for all of those.changes, but I would definitely start Fellows and think about starting MVila

I can remember Wimbledon came to our place when we were near the top and we were awful Jobi McAnuff scored the winner in the last minute . Pressure does many things at the business end of the season .
God, don't remind me of that one.

We really need a plan B away from home, we are too open through the middle

Ffs we have been shocking again today. That’s 3 games now we haven’t been on it for long periods
Aside from the goal Wallace has done nowt again
Yokuslu and mowatt off the pace again
Another really disappointing performance regardless of todays final result
Poor game management too, subs left too late

We will be very lucky to get to half time one up.

I think it was an unwritten rule that the loser kept all the gate receipts of the final, but I don't know if it is still the case.
That's what I thought

Horrible game, 0-0.

Under these circumstances the money for just making the playoff final would be quite important.  Around 1m isn't it?

Just watched the highlights a couple of times, looks to me like BTA's shot flicked the defenders arm and could have flown over otherwise?
