Obviously bored

but nothing beats the playoff final against Derby for feeling not so good

Derby in the play off and also reading away a few seasons a go when we threw away a 2 goal lead with 10 minutes left and lost 3-2, though that was more inebriated off than anything else. Derby play off final was more devastating

Villa away league game last season. I didnt sleep for 2 days i was devastated.

Still havent forgiven ben foster.

Astle day and I wasn't even in the country.

Told me a lot about modern footballers that did and there connection or how much they care about the club they play for.

All the games we have thrown away have been bad over last 3 years but the derby play off feeling was a sickener.

Don't really get to down now like that for whatever reason don't know if that's a good or bad thing to feel either.

I hope I get this right because it is one that won't bother many, but I put it on here at the time if memory serves and it still irks me now. Losing 2-1 at home to Man City with Dzeko scoring twice in the last 10 mins after Milner was sent off really early in the game. Furious with them!! Biggest bottle job going and there have been a lot.

I remember being absolutely gutted playing Palace when Darren Purse ducked under a high ball. And another game against Palace when Victor Moses first came onto the scene, he score a late winner I think.

The game v Leicester last year when we lost. Astle Day. Started so well and ended so badly. I was done with Albion and Pulis pulled me bag. Now I'm slipping again.

In recent memory it has to be either Astle Day vs Leicester City or away at the Villa in the league thanks to Ben Foster's last minute howler. The Villa one probably edges it. Those lot were just way too smug!

Probably for me the FA Cup Semi- Final at Highbury versus Ipswich in 1978. I was 18 years old and we were virtual certs to beat them. dont think any of the pundits had picked them to beat us. Lost 3-2, Totally gutted that day.

One for the older members 2nd leg uefa cup v red star Belgrade when they equalised with virtually the last kick of the game to win on away goals after we lost the 1st leg 1-0 in front of nearly 100,000

Failing to finish runners up to Liverpool 1978/79 season.

I was 13 back then. All we had to do that night was not loose to Forest.....

Trevor Francis scored down the Smethwick end in front of the Forest fans with minutes to go to clinch 2nd spot. Can still see the electronic scoreboard we had back then congratulating Forest...gutted.

we lost 3-1 mate! I was gutted after that game, but the worst one for me was the away leg play off semi against Bolton, a very emotional night I remember standing on my seat at 3-0 tears streaming down my face singing the lords my shepherd and watching Gary Megson watching us, shaking his head in disbelief at the way our fans were, that's what football is all about!!!!

Same here. I remember the stadium seemed to be in shock after the final whistle.

D'oh! i cant believe i said 3-2.

. Wasnt at the Bolton game mate, like you say the passion doesnt seem the same today as it was then.

no worries!! that night I was gutted but proud at the same time our support that night was second to none even the Bolton fans clapped us out of the ground!!!

Remember leaving the Hawthorns in 93 after loosing 2-1 at home to Stoke. Amazing atmosphere, nearly 30 K there. We had a real opportunity to show our metal for automatic promotion. After Bob equalised I felt our winner was enevitable. Then Stein popped up again....remember a sinking feeling like never before. Wembley was obviously a bit more fun!!

Can't agree, I think that our undoing was the fact that we kept pushing forward.

Port vale away 0-1 up then snow and orange ball 2-1
Stoke at home , lost 0-1 when they kicked it out the keepers hands (3 years ago?)
Plymouth at home 2-5
