You can ignore half of the posts in here.

At the moment 95% of you are all suffering from the disappointment of not picking up the three points.

The truth behind it is that we are not in the relegation zone and there are still three teams that are worse than us in the league. Alongside that Norwich have a torrid run in.

Yes this manner in which we drew was infuriating - but we didn't lose this key game and it's a lot worse for Cardiff than it was for us. We have a better run in going to the end of the season and I still firmly believe that we will scrape by matching the results of the three teams already sitting in the bottom 3.

I don't think it's fair to play this down, they are still the same set of players who won the title last year, with or without fergie.

Only one win in the past 10 games, nine in the past 41 and just 31 points from the last 34 Premier League matches.

Sums it up. Can't argue with the stats.

We cannot adapt technically and with a wealth of new players we insist on playing the old guard. Brunt was so off the pace yesterday he shouldn't have even been on the pitch.

New man, new hope,new team.

Brum will end up winning play offs, so in that case no hughton.
Some on the list are out of the question completely, Rogers, Lambert would not come here. Not enough of a step for them.

As long as we don't get an inexperienced newbie I'm fine with any appointment.

I'm in on this, unbelievable manager, and I really wish him the best of luck. I hope he gives a massive 2 fingers to Liverpool fans and anyone who blindly ignores his CV focusing on what he did at Liverpool.

I really don't care today, if a win over your local rivals overshadows what a great job Hodgson has done, something is massively wrong. As it stands, we are safe, we are the top Midlands team according to the league and Wolves can still get relegated.

Not Stoke or Villa.

Based on what? Some old hoodoo curse put on us years ago by the Footballing Gods? Get real, they are both beatable.

Wolves beat top teams but can't beat anyone mid table or at the bottom, so actually a good run in ;)

Stoke, Birmingham, Villa, Wolves, Everton, Sunderland and Newcastle are all winnable games.

I honestly think Carson would have saved their goal Myhill always goes with his wrong arm.

All guess work, pointless making a suggestion like that now, doesn't matter.

Joke. I just hope everyone was ok and that any West Brom fans handled themselves in a decent manner. Let them do what they want.

I'm more shocked that you're shocked about their support  :D

Always been poor.

I'm shocked that you're shocked he's shocked.

You expect some form of decent support at such a big derby, once again they just didn't turn up.

« on: February 20, 2011, 04:36:39 PM »
Given today's result and getting a point, even though it felt like a win at the end, I think if we beat Brum and get a point off either Arsenal or Stoke we will have done extremely well.

So in answer to your question, 5.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Can Hodgson reignite the passion?
« on: February 20, 2011, 04:35:33 PM »
What Hodgson can do is make us harder to beat. As this season has progressed our defence seems to have gone on holiday and the goals we conceded against West Ham really were the pits. Im not sure if he is going to be able to get the defence up to the required standard in the time he has available to him but he has to be able to get some improvement and if he can do that then we can still stay up.

This is exactly right. Roy should drill something into our defence and the midfield, we're going to be harder to beat in the run up to the end of the season, and it's for that reason we have a chance of survival.

Shall we talk about how bad Odemwingie has been for the last two games or shall we ignore that in favour of slating Fortune?

Odemwingie has been poor lately, I think the atmosphere contributed to the criticism of Fortune. He missed from 6 yards out when all it needed was a touch, the only thing that annoyed me, was how greedy he was trying to correct his mistakes, couldn't question his work rate but when he hassled and won the ball back, he made awful decisions.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Very disappointed with the team
« on: February 20, 2011, 04:29:09 PM »
Only player I was disappointed with today was Fortune, I thought after the initial 25 minutes we looked comfortable and the team far more likely to create something.

Fortune just wasn't sharp, missed the chance when Odemwingie nodded it across to him 6 yards out, and then just tried to make up for it by taking random shots when other options were a far better choice.
