Very good player at this level, put him in our midfield with Livermore and nobody would get near us in the league.

Ridiculous claim.

How? We're top as it is with a 37 year old playing there.

This weekend is probably the first meaningful table in the season with 10 games played.

A number of observations as ever in the championship it is incredibly tight. With 6 points separating the top 15. The bottom 9 that are running at a point a game or less but when you consider 6th is 16 points no one not even bottom team Preston on 5 points are completely out of the promotion play-off picture.

Currently the benchmark for making the play-offs will be about 73 points and promotion will be won with 87 points which is completely in line with most seasons. Generally there is a gap between the top few clubs and the bottom 9 (oddly Stoke find themselves in this group) but it isn't massive and certainly anyone in the top half is probably capable of beating anyone in the league.

Compared to the Premier League it is super competitive.

Tyler Roberts scores again for Leeds. Another warning (and maybe sign) that we seriously need to look at how we develop our more promising younger players and provide them with routes to first team football.

Leeds lose 2-1 both set pieces we could exploit that when we play them.

Boro and sheff utd held tonight, which is good for us. Just hope we can capitalise tomorrow against Derby. A win would take us top.

Villa lost and Blues won, taking them above AV.

You know the Championship is the most gloriously bonkers league. It is the football equivalent of the wacky races tonight QPR are just a point off the play-off places.  When we played them they were the worst team I had seem at the Hawthorns in a long while and they lost their opening 4 games. There is no team running at 2 points plus a game which is the rough benchmark for promotion.

Not to mention Norwich have come from nowhere. Realistically you can't look at it until the halfway mark by then it has at least started to take some form of shape it's very congested at the moment.

Didn't Sunderland go on like a 25 game unbeaten run and go from relegation fodder to champions under Roy Keane?

I cant think of any other league that's as close as the Championship.

Like others have said, QPR are now within touching distance of the playoffs, yet many had them as relegation favourites after the defeat to us.

Only 6 points separate top from 12th position, only 3 points separate 6th from 18th which is mental.

A good run of wins easily puts you in touching distance of the promotion spots.

I think our next couple of games will determine a lot, Derby and Blackburn are both good footballing teams which may benefit us (the Bristol City game comes to mind), if we can get two good results against those two, should give us a strong position to push on.

One things for sure, I enjoy it a lot more than the old top 4/6 running away with it every year, whilst the rest of us make up the numbers.

QPR are on a roll. They are up to seventh now after beating Villa 1-0. It was their third clean sheet in a row.

Derby outstanding at Boro who are playing typical Pulis dross. I’ll take the way we play every day of the week.

Nothing special about derby.
They are form team at the moment but in this league it changes every 5 mins
Whenever we are playing badly, just remember -
Paul Chrichton,Neil Parsley, Andy Mcdermott, Scott Darton, Winston White,Mark Angel, Fabian DeFreitas, Paul Williams......now, do you feel better?
