;D Someone had to start this post...as the "worst baggies memory"is already posted.
So will set the ball rolling with my first ever Albion Match October 10th 1964,at the Hawthorns,The Kings home debut.
Albion 5 Wolves 1 (The King 2 goals)....say no more. :D A very happy 10 year old.
-
I think I was October 1976 we beat man United 4 0 at a sunny hawthorns , great day

My first game (apart from a few reserve and Youth Cup games).
One of the happiest was the 5-3 at Old Trafford, 5-1 against the wolves, 3-1 against the vile January 84
-
No feel has come close to the great escape for me.
-
Cannot remember being happier than witnessing Darren Bradleys screamer of a goal against the dingles in 1993. The play off final at Wembley in the same year was a brilliant day out as well......
-
A couple that come to mind
Balis - no more need to be said.
Beating the Dingles in the play-off semi-final under Mowbray. Maybe more a huge relief than joy. Especially after dominating them away and having a lead at home. Just was never so nervous about a game; fearing we could fail having built up a great position against our fierce rivals that slither of a chance that it could still be messed up. In a way I probably cared way more about that outcome than the actual final.
-
Play off final 1993.
First promotion, first trip to Wembley, 7 or 8 years of disappointment gone in an instant, one of 45,000 very happy Baggies. Nuff said.
-
The playoff final was special, but the Swansea semi final at the shrine was probably the happiest I’ve been as a baggie. Never ever (and probably never will again) been part of the greatest atmosphere at the back of the old brummie road end.
-
Bomber at Oldham.
Second goal against Swansea in play-off semi. I still have the bruises from the mayhem in the Brummie.
Balis.
The day Pulis left. ;D
-
The Great Escape
The win against Palace to seal promotion the first time.
The 5-5 with United was a mental game.
And of course, any time we beat the Wolves / Villa, but especially the 5-1 at Molineux.
-
2-1 against villa Mulumbu winner,
1-2 against villa Sharner winner,
0-1 against villa Berahino winner
1-0 against villa gardner winner
Noting in sport makes me happier than beating Vile
-
D1ngle5.
St Peter Odemwingie. 8)
-
Any victory against Vile or the dog heads.
But one of the standouts for me was The Invasion of Pompey, dread to think what would have happened if ref had of played the full 90 and they had equalised.
For atmosphere, 1978 cup quarter final against Forest, I was in the Smetheick as an 11 year old and climbed on top of the wall at side, and the steward let me into the old corner seats where the Forest fans were, incredible game, result, atmosphere, after all we had beat Forest, no way we weren’t going to win the cup .....

Oldham 0- WBA 1
The great escape
-
Oldham for sure, one of the best football away days of my life
-
Catching the Dingles when we overturned that 11 point lead. 8)
-
5-1 at the molineux

F.A cup semi final 3 rd replay ,50 years ago 1968.
WBA v LIVERPOOL semi final at Main road Manchester.
Me and my mate Pete listening on a little transistor radio in the entry between his house in Hockley.
A truly great match,I remember it was pouring down but we didn't care,Astle & Chipper scored in a 2-1 win that took us to the final which of course we won.
The king went on to score in every round.
Can't believe its 50 years ago ,I was 16 years old and I went on to play for Albion's youth team, those were the days, listening to the music of the Beatles and Cream, great great times for me.

The 5-1. Didn't even cheer when the 5th went in, just near p***ed myself laughing.

My dad (now 83) was there for two FA cup wins and would count these days out as his best. I would have to say the day we went back up to the Premiership for the first time. The anticipation when we were catching the Wolves, the Balis penalty and that last game (Palace?). One ear on the radio listening to Tony Butler who I miss greatly... at one stage saying that the Palace striker "could not even aim a wee". The not even vaguely hopeful announcement not to invade the pitch as the entire crowd started to move forward at the end and then the pitch invasion. A number of people were in tears such was the joy. Back to the Vine afterwards. I have never seen so many elated people in one place.

I was in the Vine following the final whistle too.
Had a cigar on the go courtesy of a pal and I don't even smoke, well, except for when I'm on fire ;D .

For shear intensity of emotions and what it meant for the club and re-building it has to be Swansea semi and Port Vale final. The Portsmouth win at Fratton Park to keep us up and the Great Escape. For the magic it has to be in the year we won the FA cup we beat United 6-3 in front of +40,000 at the Hawthorns.

I remember standing in the centre circle and doing a 360 around the stands, the gamut of emotions was unforgettable: Elation, relief, disbelief and, most of all, pure, pure joy. :D Had Monday off and went on the beer round West Brom and Tipton, fantastic memories.

Coventry 7-1 was a good one when they had that brown kit on.

Simply, being born, breed and raised as a Baggie through thin and thinner :D
-
beating villa 3 -1 in 1984, hilarious watching big Cyrill racing from the half way line miss hitting his shot but scoring and two villa defenders left in his wake.
some odd statistics between the two teams, odd that both teams do better away from home.

I still get goose bumps watching this and to be honest, I'm still not sure he's going to score!

This is tough usually as a baggie you carry some doubt so although I share the thought of many of those posted the fear during an important match such as the playoff final would discount it for me.
Loved beating wulfs 3-2 although Bradders nearly gave me a heart attack.
Loved beating vile 1-0 in the qtr final of the Lge Cup.
What gave me the most satisfaction and pride was our first promotion under Meggers back in the big time and beating the wulfs to boot could hardly be better.
-
Hope it’s tonight 🤩
-
Might sound odd but mine is the 5-3 win over Palace in about 1988 when Goodman outshone Wright and Bright scoring a hat trick. It was the first time I had seen us not be rubbish. We then went on a great run - including a 6-0 win over Stoke before we got hacked out the cup by Everton who crocked Diego and that was an end to our hopes that year.

93 play off semi final vs Swansea
The place rocked! And I still have massive affection for that team. We're on our way to Wemberleeeee!!!
-
Promotions and great escape aside that Livermore goal against Tottenham last season was really overwhelming.
