Cannot believe this thread still hasn't had a name change to "Tony Pulis sacked by Albion".

The bloke is a dead man walking for goodness sake, he is a goner, get it done already.

Time to go I'm afraid, I wanted him out in May but could see why he was given the final year of his contract, but for me his position has become untenable.

He has clearly fallen out with everyone at the club who is higher up the food chain than him, the fans detest him and I would be stunned if the players buy into his brand of "football".

Yesterday was the first time we heard Pulis Out chants, once that starts you're not coming back I'm afraid. I'll be surprised if Pulis is in the dugout next weekend especially with the takeover completing this week.

TP: "The five players that John says I was happy with weren't the marquee players I wanted to bring in."

TP: "To try and say those were the five that I wanted was wrong. I've spoken to John about it."

Way to motivate the new recruits, Tone. Christ.

Just seen the below in the Birmingham Mail's article about Camacho being happy at Malaga;

"Tony Pulis pulled the plug on Albion's move for the Spaniard for "footballing reasons" on deadline day on Wednesday, and missed out too on fellow target William Carvalho."

If this is not true and Tony Pulis was not the one that pulled the deal then I suspect his solicitors will be contacting the Mail about this.

Now can we put this nonsense of "it might not have been Pulis that pulled the deal" to bed?

Supposedly the second richest club in England and they have signed Richard Stearman on loan.

Clowns. Always have been, always will be.

Away with family according to bham mail journo on Twitter.

I wonder if Tone will get as much stick for going on holiday as Saido did?

Yeah and it's being bandied around that there's no excuse for him to not be there. Except, you know, he's been watching our next league opponents play.

Or he could, you know, delegate the responsibility of scouting our next opponents to Dave Kemp or similar?

Waiting for this to be said. Well chap we will having a meeting next week and if you think we will concentrating on a few puddles you am sadly mistaken. We are fans who bloody care about this club, l and others will be having our voices heard at this meeting I can assure you that. Why not ask to join then you can have a pop at putting your questions forward.

For those that are interested, would you mind confirming what the process is to pass on questions for the Albion Assembly, or for applying to join?

Are we really risking key players in this game? Seems a little odd to me.

I think the Sky Sports announcement that Pulis is staying is telling - my guess is that Pulis has leaked this information to the media as a big two fingers up at Williams.

"Stitch me up all you want, I'm going nowhere. If you want me out you're going to have to sack me pal."

I think we have to be prepared for the reality that it's going to get worse before it gets better - with or without Pulis this season is going to be tough, it's going to be a grind and it's going to be really, really dull.

I hope once Pulis has gone (I think it's pretty much nailed on now that he will be some time in the next few months) we put a plan in place that we as supporters can buy into and believe in again.

Really, really poor window for me.

Phillips - has to be given time to settle and gel but from what I have seen of him I am not overly impressed, very little end product, probably just as inconsistent as Sess.

Galloway - I like the kid, I think he is a decent player and has some potential (which he will fulfil elsewhere) but he won't play when Brunt is fit. So for me an improvement on the squad but will end up being back up.

Nyom - Won't play at right back instead of Dawson. An improvement on the squad as he is an option that Pulis will actually use (Gamboa) but won't improve the first eleven.

Chadli - Very happy with this one, a massive improvement on what we have at the club. God knows why he wanted to come here but glad he did.

Robson-Kanu - Has now become a symbol of a catastrophic transfer window but must be given a chance to prove himself. An able back up and an improvement on Lambert and Sick Vic, but not an improvement to the starting eleven.

So of the new recruits I would say only one new signing drastically improves our starting eleven, not great at all given the riches of the greed league and what other clubs have done this window.

Very disappointed that we were unable to bring in a central midfielder to take a starting position and push Fletcher or Yacob down the pecking order. We also go into the season with only three centre halves, although with Nyom and Galloway both able to slot in I don't think Pulis will be too concerned.

The biggest issue we have is up front where we have to hope and pray that Rondon does not get injured, suspended or fatigued for the next four or five months until the next transfer window. If anyone happens to him we are relying on sulky Saido (who hasn't played up front for months), or either HRK or Phillips who can both slot in up front but are very much wingers.

Big break down in Hammond / Pulis relationships.

Pulis to be gone before the next game? Distinctly possible.

Is this just your opinion or from a source?

Amazed he hasn't walked today if I'm honest. Would love to see what the atmosphere is like at the training ground today.

As one of the 12% I can categorically confirm that the smaller shareholders have  no financial benefit from the takeover, nor are we likely to. On the contrary , a lot of people bought shares to help the club when the finances were in a mess in the 1980s and early 90s.
Only one person has benefited, or will benefit, which is why we have Pulis in charge.

That's good to know, the one who was whinging in the media must be a small minority then.

I tell you what, if the delay in completing the takeover is down to the small minority of shareholders wanting more money then they are an absolute disgrace and cannot call themselves West Bromwich Albion supporters.

He was also a common denominator during the Ashworth days? And I highly doubt DA went over his head and signed players without his approval. Maybe the correlation is that after Ashworth he took a step back. You could argue him not being as involved, and DA's subsequent predecessors not being anywhere near as good causing some horrendous windows.

You only need to look at the Summer we signed nine players (Poco, Gamboa, Samaras, et al.) to show that the recruitment department wasn't up to scratch. All well and good blaming Peace, but the guy isn't a scout.

I assume should we have a stinker of a transfer window under Lai's ownership that there'll be some excuse of a 'Peace Hangover'.

Blaming a guy who, when involved and with competent people behind the scenes, did well for the failings of a department he has no part in since, seems to be a little shortsighted in itself.

I completely agree about Ashworth, however Peace has to take responsibility as a whole for the fact that our recruitment department and technical director couldn't organise a sh*g in a brothel, the fact that we are now stuck with a garbage squad and the fact that we are stuck with a Head Coach who the majority cannot stand but is needed to keep this shower in the league.

Jeremy Peace has put us in this situation, and is now riding off into the sunset to leave Lai and Williams to sort out his mess.

When will the penny drop that this tosser is the common denominator in every single failed transfer window?

We have 3 strikers left.............

Have we? We have one by my count, Rondon.

Saido hasn't played up front for months, HR-K and Phillips are wingers who can fill in up front.

Let's hope Rondon stays fit and isn't affected by flying back and forth from Venezuela all season.

Saw on Twitter (sorry cannot find the tweet now) that he has failed to agree personal terms with Cardiff and will be staying.

Joy.

Surely not. I don't believe even he would be that daft.

Understand Pulis had a change of heart over Camacho. £15m deal had been agreed #wba
