Really, really poor window for me.
Phillips - has to be given time to settle and gel but from what I have seen of him I am not overly impressed, very little end product, probably just as inconsistent as Sess.
Galloway - I like the kid, I think he is a decent player and has some potential (which he will fulfil elsewhere) but he won't play when Brunt is fit. So for me an improvement on the squad but will end up being back up.
Nyom - Won't play at right back instead of Dawson. An improvement on the squad as he is an option that Pulis will actually use (Gamboa) but won't improve the first eleven.
Chadli - Very happy with this one, a massive improvement on what we have at the club. God knows why he wanted to come here but glad he did.
Robson-Kanu - Has now become a symbol of a catastrophic transfer window but must be given a chance to prove himself. An able back up and an improvement on Lambert and Sick Vic, but not an improvement to the starting eleven.
So of the new recruits I would say only one new signing drastically improves our starting eleven, not great at all given the riches of the greed league and what other clubs have done this window.
Very disappointed that we were unable to bring in a central midfielder to take a starting position and push Fletcher or Yacob down the pecking order. We also go into the season with only three centre halves, although with Nyom and Galloway both able to slot in I don't think Pulis will be too concerned.
The biggest issue we have is up front where we have to hope and pray that Rondon does not get injured, suspended or fatigued for the next four or five months until the next transfer window. If anyone happens to him we are relying on sulky Saido (who hasn't played up front for months), or either HRK or Phillips who can both slot in up front but are very much wingers.
