Nah! He’s just popped out for a carton of fags.

Perez to Leicester for £30 million a done deal. This pushes Barnes further down the pecking order and after a disappointing under 21s campaign. Any chance?

I would love to think so... but doubt it very much.

Well they don't play in the same position, and Barnes has established himself in their first team squad, so I'm going to say no.

We need to let Barnes and Gayle go. They were never ours, and barring promotion won't be coming back.

In short, No.

Perez will pretty much replace Okazaki, provides competition for Vardy.

More chance of them moving Gray/Albrighton on before looking to release Barnes.

Perez and Rondon seemed to compliment each other pretty well. Think the Newcastle fans will yet again be worried and wonder what is going on.
Perez certainly isn't direct competition for Vardy style wise but could enable more options in formation and how they play.

Nothing like Okazaki or Vardy tbh.

Gray, Tielemans and Maddison all above Barnes in the AM pecking order and Perez is a 2nd striker at his furthest up the pitch.

Not saying we'll get him, but it wouldn't surprise me to see him out on loan again. Recalling him really stalled his progress.

Rogers commented after one game that Barnes had had a lot of football with us which may have caught up with him slightly. As we know he wasn't someone to swan through a game, he was always looking for the ball and covered a lot of ground.
If he was tired late in the season he still had plenty of impact for them with a couple of assists for Vardy, though his finishing wasn't as clinical as it was with us.
I don't think there's a chance of Leicester loaning him out anywhere.

He certainly could go out. If he does i reckon it'd be to a lower Premier League club. I think he'll be given a chance at Leicester. Maybe more chance of him going out in January if he stutters.

I think they would move out Albrighton before letting Barnes go out.

Looking at their squad now, there are a couple of players that we could look to get in.

Andy King
Matty James
Diabete will all be available.

Diabete looked a talent when he played for Leicester before they loaned him out in Jan.

They have gone down the same ex player route as us and Man United. It didn't work for us, it doesn't appear to be working for United.
Surprised to say the least that Chelsea have gone for a rookie manager. At least Moore and Solksjaer did get wins under their belts while in temporary charge of their clubs.

Di Mateo went one better than Lampard and got us up, then won the champions league with Chelsea but was still sacked.

Best of luck Frank.

Think the 5 year contract Barnes was given says a lot. Rodgers would no doubt value the fact that he's intelligent and aware of other players as well as being a threat himself. I'd say he's more of an individual threat than Albrighton and is better linking up than Gray.

Sooner or later Newcastle fans need to realise where they stand in the pecking order while Ashley is in charge.

Bruce has had excellent results with similarly placed sides Birmingham and Wigan. Would be an appointment that shouldn't surprise anyone.

The Newcastle job is simple just keep them in the Premier League long enough for them to be sold. Bruce is as good as many and in reality Benetiz is hardly an exponent of free flowing football so there is no real change there but I still feel they should have gone to the God father of the grind and get Pulis.
