Based on what I’ve seen and read, it seems like Jon Walters has made this decision, or at least heavily influenced it.

This is the same Jon Walter’s who may end up being good as a technical director but to date did 6 months in the role at fleetwood during 22-23 and then arrived at Stoke   this year.

As it happens I’d have taken Schumacher when we last had the vacancy, probably over Corberan. Clearly I’d have got that wrong!

They do! The locals are getting restless already. In the after match phone in on local radio a lot were a lot saying they look weak all over the pitch and have no discernible style of play.  Shouldn't  have sacked Rosenior.
Shame!!!

The main issue Hull have is they only had 3 decent players and sold them all to balance books. There was never much behind them for me

They have made some very questionable decsions regarding managers over the last few years. Only less than a year since they sacked Alex Neil.

#norwich coach Narcis Pelach has agreed in principle to become the new #scfc manager.

He is expected to sign a contract at Stoke tomorrow.

Pelach is in the stands at the Bet 365 Stadium tonight to watch his new squad play Fleetwood in the Caribou Cup.

Compensation agreed.

Stoke the place where your dreams go to die. It is truly remarkable that they have been in the Championship for 6 seasons 3 of which they had parachute money and have not managed to finish above 14th. Changed manager 5 times and probably turned the squad over twice spending millions in the process and nothing moves the dial.

Pelach was one of Corberan's assistants at Huddersfield. Supposed to be a well liked and respected figure in the championship, he was Huddersfield caretaker manager twice. Not the Top 20 wwre a hit unsure, they felt it was Stoke trying to find a Corberan type of their own, but did point out that Huddersfield didnt hire him either time they had him as caretaker manager. I also noticed that Corberan didnt take him with him after he left Huddersfield, despite him still being happy to be an assistant manager.

Any club owned by Bet365 will certainly be up there, no doubt.

Their issue is being able to sink money into the club in transfers due to the fair play rules

Because West Brom have financial issues that we don’t have. I think now is the time to get him.

Because he’s the best manager in the league by a mile and his club are in a financial pickle.

A misinformed Stoke supporter. Our financial issues didn't seem to prevent us from assembling a hell of a squad over the summer. I imagine CC has been provided with enough evidence that we are now soundly run and can support him to achieve the great success he is capable of.

There was a Reddit Championship thread last week asking supporters who they would swap their manager with. Practically all of them said Corberan. Shows just how good he is.

No matter how much money they spend or how many times they change their manager, Stoke seem to get worse.

Not remotely surprised.  The coaching staff also came under criticism yesterday for not observing an applause. It was made worse by Farke and his coaching staff standing up to applaud.

Thought Plymouth were the better side for the parts of the first half I managed to watch. Thereafter Luton began to impose themselves physically forcing Plymouth into some pretty basic mistakes during the earlier parts of the second.

Luton missed a couple of decent chances though and then bang it was 2-1 Plymouth. Luton then became quite stretched leaving gaps which Plymouth were able to exploit for the third.

Rooney will be very pleased with a return of six points from games against Sunderland, Albion and a newly relegated Luton. Early days but the Plymouth squad already seems more invested in his ideas than the one he had at Blues.

.....

Thought they looked the better side for parts of the match against us tbf.   Forshaw and Randell looking neat and efficient in keeping the ball moving and Cissoko and Gyabi  real threats.  We did well to take the 3 points.

Ethan Ampadu of Leeds has a knee ligament injury and is ruled out until sometime in 2025.

Massive loss for them. They have a strong squad so it should not scupper their season, but he is a nailed on starter for them so a big blow still
