Time for a minute's silence to remember those poor Baggies who binged on the barbiturates after the game and failed to make it through the night.

Well that was a turn up for the books. Top of the league and as it stands Leeds are the team that gets caught first by any pursuer. Not a bad weekend.

Not really a surprise, they beat is at home and are always hard to beat at home. Leeds play reminded us of us yesterday, huff and puff but no real penetration against a well organised bunch of grafters.

Leeds, like us have had problems upfront all season.

The Leeds goalie looks suspect as well and may be their weak link.

Would love to win the league but 1st is only slightly better than 2nd, whereas 2nd is a million times better than 3rd.
If anyone has to win, would prefer Leeds.
Provided we don't lose them a draw would be ideal.

Same. Perfect outcome for me would be us going up as champions, someone (anyone) other than Leeds getting 2nd, someone (anyone) other than Leeds going up through the playoffs......... and Villa going down.

Us up
Villa down

Then we can worry about the rest, what I would say is if it gets constricted and Fulham/Brentford start to reel in the gap, it won’t be nice for us or Leeds ...the safest results next week is us and Leeds win

If we beat Brentford there isn't a bad outcome from the Leeds game. If they draw we put 2 points between ourselves and both Fulham and Leeds if there is positive result either way we put 3 points between ourselves and the defeated side but the winner does not close the gap.

Apparently we are after Fletcher and Fox, so if true they want us to be in the prem so playing against us isn't in their best interests.

I read something about us being interested pre lockdown...
I’ve backed the club on many decisions when others have shown distaste ...if we did sign that jugeared bell end for the PREM ...I’m out

It’s probably a good thing overall that all three have left before playing us, but in their 1-1 draw with Forest at the weekend, they controlled the game without any of Fletcher, a Fox or Foristieri starting.

Foristieri in particular has not really featured this season, although Fletcher has had another half decent season at this level. It does man they will have to manage with the very ordinary Conor Wickham, so I hope he stays quiet this weekend and doesn’t find form at the wrong time. Their midfield will be their main threat anyway (Bannan, Reach, the reinvented Jordan Rhodes, Murphy).
