Yep only 2 wins in last 7 for Burnley including three 0-0s sounds a bit familiar

How did Millwall nullify them?

We have 0 wins in 7 so not too familar to me.

They defended brilliantly like they did at our place abs scored with a great header.

Tantanga has been an excellent signing for them and commands their defence. I heard they are paying him a lot too.

Burnley could not play Fleming today because he's on loan from them, but Sarmiento came on having been out injured for 2 games.

Hopefully, we'll get the 3 points on Thursday but with Cardiff coming back beating Norwich and Sunderland only drawing at QPR and today's result it hasn't been
terrible for us with other results.

And there were some saying we had played easy teams like QPR, Cardiff and Millwall.

There are no easy games in this division and there never have been, all our promotions were winning tough matches.

Long way to go, but I am sure Nestor and co are trying to find that mf creative spark we are missing in January, and until then we have to grind out some results (fingers crossed, touch wood and please God).

Thanks for that BP, one of the footy journos said Neil Harris reduced Burnley to next to nothing so hopefully something there to learn.

Fair enough, i had to go back and check our results after your post as i would have felt harsh if we had 2 w/3 d/2 in 7 but its 5d,2l

Rob Dickie gives ball away as last man so has to foul O'Hare and get sent off.  3 mins of added time left

Only watched the last fifteen minutes or so but from what I saw I have to say Paul Heckingbottom has got Preston looking very well organised.

They impressed me tonight. Fair play to them.

Millwall's last few results show just how hard they are to score against, given some expected us to beat them easily.

I've seen a few EFL games recently,  I think that, among the potential challengers -  the standard of squad is generally very similar.
There are teams such as Stoke and Millwall whose game is largely destructive with rapid breakouts and they are having more success this season.  Stoke Bet365 will always have some spending money; we can add them to the list of rivals. There are teams like Blackburn and us who started well with a modicum of luck but have been sussed -BR in particular.

I'm not surprised at Sunderland's position as they have a lot of reasonably good youngsters and revenue creating crowds. Compared with that squad, ours can sometimes  look rather old or slow-witted and mechanical.  Together with the three clubs that were relegated and Leeds, the odds of making the play-offs this season are slim but not beyond the bounds of the possible.

Championship really is something you can get battered one day then a few days later beat a team comfortably ie Sheff Weds

Did wonder if they would pull the trigger, longest serving champo manager to this point, around 7.5 years i think.  Good manager for me

If he played any part in them spending over £2m on signing BTA from us, it is probably deserved  ;D

Glad they did though!

Coventry fans on the whole seemingly very unhappy with the sacking

Nice one! I am shocked they have sacked him to be honest. Who do they think will do better for them???
