Man Utd score their first goal of their new Ruben Amorim era in less than 90 seconds at Ipswich.

Diallo into Rashford.

Noted that three ex-Baggies captains involved in the squads today. I might be wrong but have O’Shea, Evans and Townsend all captained us at some stage?

I just can't get my head around Leicester sacking Cooper after 12 games what were they expecting?

Apparently they never really wanted him, ( which we all knew) and they feel it's better to cut their losses sooner rather than later. Apparently they think Potter will come this time.

They're fans have wanted him out since the opening game. Never warmed to him at all

Leicester fans are so weird, they hate Rodgers despite winning them fa cup. Booing last year when they were top etc

Can't really get my head around appointing a manager and committing millions in transfer fees, wages and pay packets for the manager and his coaching team if you don't want him. Imagine you mean the 'supporters' never wanted him rather than the board? Pretty bloody stupid decision to appoint him in the first place otherwise.
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.

No all the reports at the time suggested the owners were not particularly keen however he was the best option available that was willing to come apparently.

Guess they will have a clause meaning they 'only' pay him a year's salary.

Sounds like they have sacked him based upon believing Potter will come

Talk about being on a loser from the off. Waste of time for both parties beyond a pay packet for Cooper who probably isn't too short of a few bob anyway. Can't imagine he'll be out of work too long.

I do not believe they appointed a man they didn’t want. The costs involved would prevent that surely? Will be interesting to see who follows him.

Surely it’s about more than football ? Why else do you sack a manager and assistant  manager but leave the first team coach in charge ?

Think it was the Telegraph yesterday, they said that the decision to get rid was made by one man apparently. The owner who was never sold on him.

It doesn't need to be a massively expensive decision, i would imagine there was a fixed fee terminiation clause inserted at contract signing.

From what I've been reading it seems the threat of an impending points deduction meant they were having real difficulty selling the job to a live candidate. Looks like Cooper was pretty much last pronoun standing.

With their pre season thrown in the air due to Maresca's departure, players reportedly not buying into Cooper's game plans and him having Forest connections he was on a hiding to nothing. Marriage made in hell.

Seems bizarre - not in the relegation zone and only lost by 1 goal to 1 of the better teams at the moment. All a bit weird, feel for Cooper. Maybe like others have said, a higher desired target that wasn’t available now is available and that could be Potter being as he didn’t get the England gig.

Apparently the players weren't taking to his style of play, but equally didn't want him gone. They preferred Maresca's structured approach rather than Cooper's system which required more individual decision making.

I just can’t see that
Surely they would have appointed a caretaker/interim ?

Haven’t Potter and Moyes already been ruled out ? Would probably make Van Nistelroy in prime position

In managers markets it only takes a few punts to jiggle the odds …but whilst Van Nistelrooy is the big favourite
Corberan has come right in from 40-1 to 6-1 second favourite
Location,instant premiership status …
Maybe?

I haven’t put any on yet…if it goes another 24hrs I may be tempted 😃

The list of runners though
Surely Jose wouldn’t go there ??
