Vile fans not happy now their CL match ticket prices have been announced , £70-£82 for STH per game and £85-£97 for non-STH per game

Meanwhile 'Uefa has capped the amount clubs can charge for away tickets in the Champions League at 60 euros (£50.55)'. Not exactly a bargain but another kick in the teeth for Villa supporters wanting to attend home games at The Seal Pen in the Champions League. They'll have none left at this rate; those home prices are going to be very hard to swallow.

Yes, someone has to pay for the idiotic transfer fees that clubs spend, including Aston Villa by the way. Did Villa fans complain about spending £50 million for a run of the mill midfielder Onana?

In fairness I've read of a number who did moan about it online. And heard of more on Talk Sport (background noise). They've also moaned (quite rightly) about queuing for over an hour in some instances to get into VP.

Problems with QR code entry, toilets overflowing, season ticket holders being moved to new sections as their old seats have been redesignated/upscaled/up-priced. The new sections not being ready. Floors and a wall having still wet paint and tales of new ST seats not even being there on entry.

And then there's the ticket pricing, costs of food and drink in the stadium and club amenities nearby. There's a lot of very unhappy claret campers at the moment despite how things are going on the field. To be honest, I can't say I blame them either.

#AVFC have increased the price of disabled matchday parking spaces outside the North Stand by a whopping 100%, from £190 to £380.

Disabled fans were given no prior warning when asked on the week before the first home game of the season to pay double to keep their spot

It seems to be a recurring theme with the thieving gets from the sanctuary !

If there's even the slightest acknowledgement that the daft amounts of money PL clubs are splashing out on transfer fees and going into players and agents pockets, bears some relationship to what they as fans have to cough up, then that's progress I suppose. Though you wouldn't think so listening to most PL club fans.

It does seem that 'dining at the top table' prices have started to trickle down.

Going off at a slight tangent but you might want to look up what Arsenal are charging their supporters for season tickets, match day pricing and the whole rigmarole around their Champions League pricing structure. Truly disgusting.

Not everyone in London is a merchant banker but you could be forgiven for thinking Arsenal think they are. Their supporters aren't happy either and Fulham's have been protesting about prices for a while now.

Villa's board and their supporters want to dine at the top table. Fair enough. But there's ways and means of going about things. They're being treated with utter contempt down the road and while that's funny for now it won't be should similar happen to us in future.

Almost, almost……a slight tone of empathy

Since the goalie technology failed that day, I just cannot bring myself to have any feelings other than utter contempt for them, hope they put the prices up a bit more to watch them get thumped.

It could have been us

We had Lai as the owner and he would have just been happy to collect the Premier league money without trying to build us as a club. We'd have been relegated but had parachute money so maybe Lai borrowing money to prop up his failed business in China wouldn't have been such a hit...or maybe he'd have borrowed more money.

One thing for sure is we definitely wouldn't be in the Champions League.

Yeah I doubt we would have got CL was more so thinking where Villa would be right now if they didn't go up that season or if goal line technology worked and they went down that season

Sadly, we would not have spent the £150m they spent upon promotion, only for them to get 35 points and survive because Watford and Norwich were so horrendous and goalline technology happening not to work.

They are without doubt the luckiest side alive. That Gayle sending off remains ridiculous, and people forget that Grealish actually dived from no contact whatsoever from Gibbs for the penalty at Seal Park.

Sorry to be that guy but Sheffield United still had 75 mins to score in that game, Yes it was terrible use of the technology. Watford sacking Nigel Pearson for no real reason with 2 games to go was the problem. Plus Villa beat Arsenal unexpectedly
