No. Being in the CL will raise their profile internationally. The Conference League has something of the Mickey Mouse Losers cup about it.

Will it?

Nobody watches it until the KO stage, by which time the scumbags passports should be gathering dust again.

Sincerest congratulations to them, getting in to Europe’s elite competition for the first time is an achievement….because if they had managed it before they would have mentioned it every hour on the hour wouldn’t they ??

They've had their best season in 50 years well since goal line technology failed, and their fans still moan! The most fickle deluded entitled fanbase ever!

It would appear your family members don't drink in my local. Judging by the meltdown in there I feel blessed by this. COYB and SOTV  8) .

Emery signs a new 5 year deal.

Interesting to see how that goes as Villa have to sell to maintain FFP.

Yes, it's been confirmed. Think they sold him for 18m on a 4 year deal so guess they have to pay 75% of it back or something along those lines (total guessing by me)

Looks like the blades learnt from their Brewster deal.

I don't think I have ever seen such a buy back clause before.

I wish we had it on the Grady and Grant deals.

It was effectively just a loan with a condition attached, like the commonly seen loan > permanent if you win promotion. I assume the only reason they didn't do it that way was for accounting purposes.

So it's nothing like the Sheffield United deal, as there was no loan and no promotion, and the fee was paid upfront, hence the refund now and why I said their deal was unique and one that I hadn't seen before.

Fine. Let them spend however much they like. I really wouldn't have an issue with it so long as the Premier League remembered to relegate them afterwards.

As I tried - very awkwardly possibly - to explain the situation, those clubs with middle eastern owners with bottomless funds are trying to quash the EPL rules which prevent them from pushing massively inflated sponsoring and other deals from companies which are also under ultimate control  of the same owners.  In other words, getting round the FFP rules.

A chunk of the Vile is now owned by Middle Eastern interests.  Hence the sudden conversion to support Man Citeh.

Price Zone 1 (Holte centre) £78 no concessions for Category A games and £57 no concessions for Category B games. Seats in '1888' areas by the halfway line are £92 no concessions for Category A games and £78 for Category B.

Adult wheelchair bays are £55 for Category A and £44.50 for Category B. £55 and £44.50 respectively to park your wheels for a couple of hours in Witton. Makes '£10 and I'll watch your car for you' from some little local chav seem like a bargain.

Following an Albion win the icing on the cake is always a vile loss so chalk that down as a great weekend of football.
