Never have 2 semis given so much pleasure.

There's a presenter on Talksport who reckons dick has a cycle at every club where eventually he is found out and given the boot.

Fingers crossed 2 more defeats and missing out on 4th means that cycle has it's tyres burst quickly, and himgone soon.

I actually not bothered with Villa in the Champions League. They have improved on getting promoted & its a fine achievement only spending less then £500 million

Do be brief......
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.

Think it might have been last night, about a second or two after the top came off the box of claret and spew paper hankies.

As with any news that sickens and repulses me a total media blackout is enforced in my house the scum has just triggered one and it will only be lifted when they embarrass themselves again in Europe.

Keep tuned in, I'm fairly confident that the embarrassment of Vile will be communicated via this site on an ongoing basis.

I hate them with a passion and feel physically sick that they got into the champions league, but it was always likely when their major competition was spurs.

At least the scum didn't win the conference pears whatever, as some on here predicted.

I now hope that get battered in all 8 games they have in the champions League and know when they are eliminated they won't be dropping into the Europa league.

It just a massive shame that there isn't a preliminary round anymore where they could get knocked out like Everton were a few years back.

Hopefully, they waste millions on more donkeys like Diaby and Ty he long term effects are like they were under Lerner.

I hate Villa but there does seem to be an OTT reaction here. They made the CL so what? They ain't winning it, arguably losing the Conference was the bigger deal

Increased TV revenue and sponsorships will raise their profile as well as profits allowing them to potentially attract players of a higher calibre. They don't have to win the Champions League to benefit from being in it and making further progress. That's what.

On the other hand they could spaff the increased revenue down the drain with a number of duff signings and bang their heads against the wall trying to establish a place higher up the food chain and implode. Hopefully. But then we all know how bloody spawny they are.

I read somewhere yesterday that CL qualification means they only have to sell 1 star player now to reduce losses to an acceptable FFP level

I would love Albion to have a European campaign at some point. Wolves & Blues have in the last 20 years. 4th is a fine achievement for Aston Villa its sucks but hey ho.

Had to chuckle on twitter, John Percy posted that appointing Unai Emery was the turning point in Viles upwards trend, whilst some wag albeit true said the turning point was when goal line technology had it's biggest failure ever at seal park!

No. Being in the CL will raise their profile internationally. The Conference League has something of the Mickey Mouse Losers cup about it.
