Historically we don't have many magagers poached.  I think Roy Hodgson was the last, apart from that I can only think of Ardiles and big Ron.  Let's hope it stays that way.

We have the good ones poached and have to pay to get rid of the bad - sometimes it feels that the more atrocious they are the more it cost to get shot of them.

Mowbray was poached by Celtic?

Further back, when I was a kid I seem to remember Ray Harford left to join QPR after we had had a good start. I think we were second in the league at the time

Or, just maybe, with him, we become bigger things.

I agree entirely, that's the perfect situation

I don’t see that
With their majestic new palace they will want a name .
Has mouriniho fell out with the Turks yet ?,whilst on merit Corberan should be on their shortlist it’ll be glitz and glamour over substance .

Should they sack Dyche (and some reports earlier in the week suggest that they are prepared to stick with him come what may) they'll be after a manager that they think can keep them in the Premier League...more likely to go back to Moyes than risk it with Corberan in my opinion.

Corberan is probably on a hefty bonus if we go up, so you'd think he'd stick with the programme here unless there is an absurd offer

I think if you put yourself in a Championship managers shoes, managing a WBA type club, it doesnt really matter how much you are enjoying your time at said club, the lure of an Everton, a West Ham or even sadly a Wolves is difficult to turn down.

Even if Corberan gets us up, he will have a huge uphill battle to keep us there with our financial reality. A club like Everton or West Ham are established at the level, they have the big stadium, big fan base, greater resources and more potential to achieve a top 10 finish than an Albion.

I think this is generally right although at times I think up and coming managers at clubs that are in a good place and we are at the moment probably should look at the "opportunity" a little closer than just "it's a Premier League club I can't say no". For instance right now if I were Corberan I'd treat Everton with a huge amount of caution.

I see Everton as a problem club they think they are a bigger club than they are which brings its own problems they are just a run of the mill Premier team If I was in  CC shoes they would not be a club I would be looking at.

So is it that time of month when we get to soil our pants again because of a real or imagined departure for Carlos? Oh goody, this can't happen enough for me. Really ought to rename this place WestFetish.com  ;D .

It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.

Everton is certainly a big club.  Equally it seems to be in a big mess: failed attempts to sell stakes in the club, ongoing doubts about the new stadium.  CC needs time to inculcate his tactics and work/team ethic into a club so he may not want to drop what he's achieve here and start over.

It's perhaps a pity that we've started the season so well.  Maybe the little bit of luck and poor opposition shooting that we've enjoyed would have been more useful towards the end of the season.

Id be more worried about a club like Tottenham poaching him than Everton. I hope and pray he will stay at least for this season and one more if we get to the Prem {Which I believe we will with him this season}. I think he is that good a manager.

We should at least try to offer him a new contract as soon as possible. I would give him as large a salary as FFP would allow us. I'm guessing that his wages come under the same scrutiny in this respect as players. He is the most valuable asset to me we have at the club and that includes Tom Fellows.

Geez what an incredible job he has done. I was ultra pessimistic about this season after our previous owner left us in such an incredible mess, but WOW. Long may it last!! Hopefully we keep hold of CC because so far this season he has worked miracles

Another win. Think he makes life harder for himself and us by the sheer amount of subs he makes but he keeps winning so can't really complain too much.

At times, true, but he's got to keep a squad happy where he has (rightly, btw) only made one change to the starting line up in six games. It's a fine balancing act.

Got it very wrong today , or did he? Amidst rumours of Mowatt and Molumby being injured , he made changes introducing Diakite and Ratic in their places with very negative consequences. INMH opinion introducing those two with Swift lost us the game.
He then introduced the magnificent Mowatt at half time who changed the game completely and we got back to 2-2 only to give the lead back to a very average Sheffield team within a minute.
He took off Semi, rather than Bartley who had a dreadful game. Brought off Fellows who minutes prior had delivered the perfect ball for Maja, and brought on Wallace who contributed nowt. Mikey who did very little going forward, did nothing to help out defensively, a looks like being a regular sub for Grant.
Swift once again stayed on for 90 minutes, and did little except helping Wednesday to find the winner.
If he simply wanted to rest Mowatt and Molumby why did'nt he include Styles in the squad a better fix for their absence than either Diakite and Ratic  surely?
He is making a mistake I think in not shouldering the blame for losing this game, by his selections.
I continue to support him, but he cost us today

Quite right, the subs were odd to say the least. He has winning mentality but sometimes a draw would have been a great result considering how poor we were.
