I could understand CC wanting to nullify James but it also did the same to Fellows. Once James went off we should have moved him across to the right but didn’t. Too overly cautious again for me. Positives are that we look better in position but so many times we had the opportunity to play the ball forward but went backwards.

I just wanted to give some credit to CC because he has us much better away from home this season than last.

He had us playing almost entirely cautious playing away last year but this season we are just getting on with it.

Well done CC.

Best manager in the league by a country mile. Those doubting him, again, always tend to come up looking rather silly

Glad Leeds got the win last night, because we cant really afford to lose him.

Marc Albrighton's WM interview talked about how in depth he goes, up to 6 meetings per day with the players, assistants working overtime.

Very much a modern manager, i'm sure he will get a prem gig eventually.

Who do you think CC is alluding to being sold in a poor deal but one we had no choice on, I can only think of O’Shea?

CC, the second coming of Megson.

Now please order lorry full of cotton wool and wrap Maj, Tommy and Mowie in it until unleashing them again next Saturday.

The Mol Mix has a thread on Corberan saying they want him.

Absolutely lovely stuff.

His post-game comments are interesting. Basically said that despite the result we didn't cope well with their press first half and it was a very competitive game until the second goal.

Surprised as we've won 0-3 away from home and gone top but it seems he wasn't impressed with our performance

You have consistently said so, and I agree wholeheartedly. Whereas some have questioned his commitment! By far the most important employee at our club. Hopefully he wants to deliver on his ambitions with us rather than elsewhere.

4m and they could have him reportedly.

Wonder if he would go?

No chance he wants to achieve something here first. If he takes us up he’ll have his pick of clubs outside the top 6. Another 5 games like this and I’d be sitting him down with contract talks. He’s the lynchpin.

Sit tight and we will be a division above them next season 😉

And of the side who have started every game this season, 9 out of 11 players were already at the club (admittedly Palmer and Fellows hadn't had much of a look in). Only Heggem and Maja have joined on his watch - the remaining lads were pretty much all written off under Ismael and Bruce. Immensely impressive turnaround.

Interesting to see when we'll start to rotate. Only one midweek game between now and next international break.

It's from the Oxford game (19/10) that the Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday-Tuesday grind begins.

Bookies still not convinced, you can still get 5/2 for promotion, and 10/1 for championship winners.

Not sure how you get that impression, at the moment there are 9 comments, only the bloke who started it and the one saying "gerrim in" have said anything positive.

Folks, can we stick to the topic of Corberan and not divert to discussing them please.

I'm confused.

Is Carlos identifying himself as a "them" now?

I have been told from a very reliable source that if we havent already, we will be looking to offer Carlos and his crew new contracts very very shortly.

I imagine assuming we have / do there will be negotiations for a bit and hopefully he wants to sign.

Apparently the relationship between Mr Patel and CC is very strong, tensions were high for a short period during the summer, CC was told we expect to be challenging for the top six and he said fine but i need extra tools.

He got what he wanted so he is happy, he also never tried to tout himself for other
Jobs (which apparently happens quite a lot via agents, reps, etc) so the board are happy too as he has shown he is loyal.

Be great if we can get him signed up in the near future, personally i think he is crucial to any success we may have, he is a special coach.

You're a very reliable person here and i don't want to get into he said, she said, but i've been told for an absolute fact his agent had initial chats with Brum. Two people with connections to the club, who don't know each other told me that. Very probably just the agent doing his job in hearing our vague ideas, which i don't take as Carlos wanting out. But he (i believe) did "speak" to Brum, at least briefly.

But to the point in hand. I'd be delighted to put another year or two on the contract length (currently ends June 2026 i think?), but i fear any long term contract would have to contain get out clauses and thus make it semi-worthless? Just a fear of mine, no inside knowledge.
Whenever things look bad, remember the Port Vale, Grimsby and Walsall days... not so bad now, eh?!
