My only concern about this transfer is tactical fit which at this stage I am a little unsure of. I seen it said he can operate anywhere across a front 3. Well we don't play a front 3 we have a gap at Centre Forward in a 4-2-3-1. We currently have a right footed wide left forward (Grant) and his doppelganger (Robinson) filling in at Centre Forward and were we to switch to a front 3 our two most effective players (Diangana and Wallace) would be left high and dry by the move. So that is of limited use.

At 23 he is not one for the future. This is the players one chance to play at a higher level than league one or two. The two poster boys for lower league recruitment Watkins and Toney were in the Championship at a similar age and making a significant contribution during their first season had they not neither would have progressed to the Premier League at the age of 24/25

Bruce’s comment that he further strengthens our attacking options seems to say that we have other attacking options! Apart from Grant then I wasnt aware that we currently have any other fit attacking options!
Wallace, Diangana, Grant, Phillips, Robbo, Cleary, Zohore.....admittedly the last 4 are limited options but this would be 'the attacking options' Plus Dike SHOULD be back in 4-6 weeks, all being well......

Pleased we have got this deal through, I've read from some Salford fans who go home and away that he gives everything every game. They are very disappointed to see him go.

Rather this kinda deal than a has been.

Good luck Brandon.

Think Dike is back in now, so around 4 weeks to get fully fit which takes us to very start of October

Me too, but we are all clutching at straws nowadays. Any signing is better than no signings at all. What rabbits will Bruce pull out of the hat before 11pm tomorrow I wonder!

I take it Brandon will have been registered in time for inclusion in the squad for Friday nights game, should he be selected?

Normally midday the day before the game so should be eligible.

Comes across as like a likeable guy from the interviews the club have put out. The Salford ‘thank you’ tweets about him leaving seem to imply he’s a good character too.

Whilst I want all of our signings to be incredible, I really want this guy to do well. It would be great to have nabbed late bloomer who can endear himself to the fans for 300k.

But will BTA be in the starting eleven or warming the bench one asks……?
If he starts, who will he replace?

He said on his video walk around the pitch that he can't wait until friday.

Like his enthusiasm. Expect him to be on the bench, rather than starting, personally.

He won’t have to replace anyone as we play without a striker

I don’t think he starts, but I think with a signing like him you have to give him some minutes straight away unless grants on fire on Friday. He’s been playing and scoring, the only thing you’ll do by not getting him on the pitch is dent his confidence.

BTA’s signing may just be the spur that Grant needs to improve his overall performance.
Nothing like a bit of healthy competition albeit they don’t really play in the same position.

The lad is obviously very keen when he says he can’t wait until Friday - just hope he gets a few minutes and not too disappointed.

Oh his instagram he's posted a very respectful goodbye message to Salford and also a picture of him meeting Cyrille when he was younger.
I hope he's a good buy, because he seems like a lovely lad to have at the club.

The club have put a lot of material out with him today, he seems a really genuine, down to earth nice bloke. Hard not to want him to do well on a personal level.

Shouldn't be a concern at all for the price, I've seen him play for Salford and he will give us another dimension off the bench. We have no bodies at the club so bringing in one of the better players from lower leagues is where we are currently at as a club financially.

He's also 23, meaning he has 10 years in the game don't write his future off before he even starts.

Good-Luck BTA have been a fan for a while, welcome to the Albion.
