Yeah I doubt we would have got CL was more so thinking where Villa would be right now if they didn't go up that season or if goal line technology worked and they went down that season

So jammy man...

Shows how poor Portsmouth are away from home...or it's just one of those flukey results you get from time to time in the Championship.
Well Preston didn't lay a glove on Milwall who then battered Watford who beat Sunderland, yeah the championship is just nuts lol

Oh how different things would've been if Gayle didn't get sent off...

He seems to be making everything he does more complicated than it really needs to be.

If there was anyone that should have been dropped after Saturday then it was Swift.

Summed up in the 2nd half when Wallace was free down the right and he went for a ridiculous switch to Grant...

Heggem is showing at LB now, time to play an actual LB and move him in the middle. Also wtf happened with McNair? Surely he's better option than the two chuckle brothers we have at CB?

We cannot go the season with Barts and Semi as a CB paring...

He was poor but does give us balance , Grant is a backwards step and I'm surprised Carlos has carried on with him so far.
Agreed. MJ is lacking match sharpness that is what last night came down too I think.

Racic & Swift god awful. Both games lost because of the midfield selections.

Fellows is young he can play 2 games a week! Wallace said he's happy playing bit part so let him.

Reality has sunk in this week for sure. Must win on Saturday

Can’t win them all but Swift cost us point today after heroics by Maja and Mowatt needs dropping imo as he offers nothing and game per usual passes him by. And don’t get me started on his attempt at Hollywood passing he can’t even give a simple two yard pass see their third goal.
Yup he was faffing about that led the 3rd goal. Also his yellow card because he couldn't control the ball

Needed dropping for a while now just offers nothing.

Fair play to Plymouth, Rooney really turned them around

Not really the same kind of player.Swift is more of an attacking midfielder, Racic is more a box to box like Molumby.
Diangana for Swift would make more sense.
In that case I'd keep Swift. Diangana is miles worse than him...

Racic for Swift the only change I'd make. Ideally MJ for Grant too but that maybe be harsh on KG he done enough vs Pompey to warrant a keep in his place.

Everton, Wolves, Soton, Ipswich, Palace, Leicester looks like they'll be battling it out for relegation. Villa be interesting if they can maintain top 4 with CL, Newcastle started well quietly going under the radar. Liverpool should be top 4 don't think they'll challenge for title and Arsenal improving year and year Arteta showing some real tactical hopefully they can get over the line.

I though he did well coming on yesterday some lovely touches and done more than Swift.

Also I didn't know he played for Wolves! Though he went straight to Pompey to Milwall.

Interesting stat on Sky that he doesn't have that many touches in the game as you'd think but boy does he make them count!

Concur if he needs work on his finishing he does seem a bit lost whenever he get in the box but he is young and sure in time that will come! Tbh as long as he keeps providing assists then he doesn't really need to score goals

The fact he can move around the pitch much better than Yokuslu makes a massive difference.

No longer sitting that deep and happy to engage further up the pitch.

As for Racic - has the makings of a rolls Royce in this division.

Yup that was my first thought as well he looks like a more mobile Okay!

Grady just isn't doing it for me constantly runs into blind allies and loses the ball but other than that MJ & Jed looked pretty sharp coming on. Would like to see Dobin as a winger he seems to be deployed as a striker whenever he's come on.

Professional second half performance overall. Pompey just lacked qaulity in 1st half and we rode our luck, hard to not get carried away but hopefully we can just keep going game by game!

Dwight Gayle signed for Hibernian.

Would say he should tear that league up- even at 34 years old.

However his Stoke record was 45 games 3 goals. Not sure what happened there.

Oddly similar record to Saido at Stoke as well (51 games 3 goals).

According to wiki Stoke played him as an AM rather than a forward because his pace had gone

Just seen Barnsley vs Bristol Rovers highlights, damn is Grifiths in fine form! Plus he set up a goal from a long kick that didn't go out of play like Palmer's always seem too

Vile fans not happy now their CL match ticket prices have been announced , £70-£82 for STH per game and £85-£97 for non-STH per game

These all the home games not just Bayern? That is big yikes.

When he’s spent 600 million I’m afraid I can’t find any sympathy for Ten Hag !

That and he keeps playing Rashford! Plus they have no style of play, Soton for example lost 3 in a row but their style of play is distinct and you can see what they're trying to do at least but whenever I watch Utd just don't know what they're play is win lose or draw.
