They've moved quite quickly in all fairness ot them.
Literally everyone who has had a manager leave in Dec or Jan has appointed someone but us absolute farce really.

Feel so sorry for Brunt he just wants to go back to his desk job, looks like he'll probably take Stoke and Boro on at this rate...

We had some good times under TM but it's time to move on, we don't want to become a Peterborough.

Plus have people forgot he jumped ship to Celtic?

Not sure it's really fair to criticise some of the players seeing as they were playing against a team way above the quality.  What do we expect?  That Swift and Grady were suddenly going to have a decent premiership defence scrambling?
Plymouth beat Brentford. Bromley & Stockport didn't get thrashed. Tamworth held out Spurs to ET. None of them have players better than ours yet see what happens when you put in effort?

Like every other fan you are on the outside, not privy to the recruitment process and yet pretending you are. Toys back in the pram.
Mate if this was Lai you would not be this quick to defend. What "recruitment process" takes 2 weeks to just draw up a shortlist?

Absolutely shambolic incompetence

Rooney left Plymouth on NYE & they already appointed a new gaffer so this excuse people peddled on because of New Years we were taking our time is nonsense this is pure incompetence.

Yes talks breakdown but this why you don't wait several weeks before start interviewing...

Precious time has now gone games are coming thick and fast

Absolute farce this is what happens when you wait 2 weeks to just start interviewing. Another week wasted and from the 5 upcoming games we only have 1 one week break between games how can a new gaffer get his messages and style across with games coming think and fast?

They have handled this woefully...

Stoke have recalled Nathan Lowe from Walsall. There's goes his golden boot and title medal probably
A shame but inevitable but thankfully Walsall so far ahead shouldn't derail them like when Barnes got recalled for us.

By the way do you ever sleep gaz? Lol.

Southampton who have been whipped all season have just whipped Swansea. It's crazy. They're going to be up their again next season for sure. Next season not going to be any easier to get back up.

10
Conspiracy theory Brunt played Swift etc because he knew the gaffer was watching somewhere & wanted to show him how rubbish they really are!

Last year of his contract right? Shouldn't he be trying to impress to get another or potential suitors? Instead it's the opposite...

If we get promoted is this what it's going to be like every week? Yikes the gap is absolutely massive & Bournemouth were only a championship club a seasons ago!

That's such a great post. Sums up the philosophy whichever league clubs like ours are playing in.

Shame we blew our chances in 2008 and I've not recovered since.

I wouldn't say we blew it just very very very unlucky even Rednknapp admitted we were the best team on the day

FA cup 3rd round on a Thursday night! It used to be one of the biggest days in the football calendar!
Only about 6900 at Sheffield U v Cardiff.
Money talks today, the cup is seriously devalued never mind no replays. The top teams complaining there's too many games, play more European games and jet of on tour post/pre season!! Rant over!
Joke barely any 3pm KO's

Remember how fun the 3rd round weekend used to be now feels like an international break

They're just interviewing candidates after 2 bloody weeks??? This Xmas new years thing is a urine poor excuse we were playing then so not like we were on a winter break with the club shut down for 2 weeks.

Absolute joke this is. A competent board should have contingency plans in place especially when your coach is high rated and kept getting linked to jobs...

Romano now saying 22m guaranteed and more in add ons.

Ipswich have had their pants pulled down here
I don't get it, he seems an average player. Hull fans complained he would go for goal often when the better opportunity would be to pass to a team mate. Villa getting rid after 6 months should tell you all you need to know.

This is turning into a complete farce. A new gaffer now misses a precious 2 weeks before the next league game because the board are farting around. Not a good sign of things to come. Unless because results on the pitch have been decent and that's why they're taking their time fair enough if that isn't case then this smells of incompetency

I am sorry but 2 weeks to whittle down a shortlist is an absolute joke. What if we lost all our Xmas games? Season would've been a write off

The reference to Postecoglou was because l think he, will be sacked if Liverpool beat them badly tonight. He was just an example of a manager who's teams play without the so called handbrake on that CC was accused of. Of course the  chance of him at the Albion at this time is far fetched. I heard Spurs fans complain that he is too gung ho and it's just interesting that most fans complain no matter what the playing style is if the team isn't winning games. Pulis my exception to that rule. I couldn't cope with another 1-0 slow motion win under him. Even reading his win% stats are boring. W36, D36, L49.
The crazy thing about Pulis is he didn't play that sort of football under Palace so don't know why he reverted back to Stoke type footy under us...

Didn't the 5-0 away drumming lead to his sack from Boro?

(Man I miss that season we had in the championship)

Football isn’t a complicated game. European coaches can and do do very will in the English game very frequently.
Exactly just look at Slot!
