Athletic saying he's now been granted permission to speak to Hull. Good manager.

His star is certainly on the rise. Deserves an opportunity at a higher level certainly

Hull after Ruben Selles from Reading. He is the one I would have earmarked if the board had decided to remove CC which, to be clear, I do not want.

He has done a fantastic job with Reading in difficult circumstances.

Horrendous draw

I didn't set out to defend Swift, I started looking at our rolling xG across the season then noticed the difference with Swift starting than without him. Point taken though!

Simply put, we are far better with him than without because he at least gets on the ball and always wants to receive it, without him we have no composure on the ball in the slightest in the midfield

You’ve got no chance of defending Swift on this forum I’m afraid. I had someone in the Swift thread telling me that Alex Palmer has more technical ability than him  :-X

Must say, we look so much better since we dropped Swift from the side don’t we…

We’ve certainly not won as many games that’s for sure, but hey ho, everyone else clearly know best

Brilliant win. Hopefully this time we kick on in the series unlike the Pakistan series where we tossed it off after a great start. Not ‘resting’ Woakes this time would be handy.

Would love to know what dossier Crawley has on the upper echelon of the ECB to keep being selected

Typically modest Fritzl ;D.

You wouldn't want me any other way  ;D

Is this pidgin for 'he's still got credit in the bank'  ;D ?

He has my support, which is all an Albion manager truly needs  ;)

When he loses that, his goose is well and truly cooked.

Whilst everyone is allowed an opinion, even thinking of sacking CC is a madness.
Done a great job in difficult circumstances, guiding us through the chaos of the Chinese idiot and on to relatively sunny uplands.

Agree entirely . Fritzl knows when a manager needs to go, he’s been proven thought so many times in the past, this is not time time for CC to go.

Ref: Thomas Bramall
1st Ass: Richard West
2nd Ass: Natalie Aspinall
4th Off: Matthew Corlett

Did our 1-2 at Leicester last season.

I seem to recall him giving them every major decision in that one when we completely outplayed them.

I haven’t put any on yet…if it goes another 24hrs I may be tempted 😃

The list of runners though
Surely Jose wouldn’t go there ??

Jose would be lucky to be given the opportunity, really, his stock has seriously fallen.

Wallace just cannot be selected anymore. He has nothing

Still feel we need that extra man in midfield, which would mean having to sacrifice MJ and put Grant out wide as you can’t replace Grant in the form he is in

He’s just absolutely brilliant, isn’t he. His lay offs, general awareness and finishing ability are so important for us.

Up to 10 goals already? One behind what BTA got all last season and we’re only in November  ;D

Seriously lacking something in the midfield with the two up front. I’m not a fan of it

Did anyone see the Katie Taylor fight last night? How did Serrano not win that?

As SmethDan has not posted yet, I feel obligated to do it for him, so here goes.

I felt that it was a fairly even fight but Serrano made a bit of a ham of a couple of rounds

I understand football is all about opinions but i am absolutely baffled by your view on Swift. Seriously.

He is no where near the top 3 players in terms of technical ability. I would be confident Palmer covers more distance than Swift Does. He wants a Koumas type role which is fine, but then you have to be as good as a Koumas. which he is not.

Bottom end of championship player, at best.

I think people are massively failing to grasp what technical ability is…

I’m not saying I think he is our best player or best performer…or covers as much ground as Palmer ffs  ;D being technically gifted has nothing to do with that. People really need to engage brain, if one exists, before arguing about a subject that they are clearly not comprehending

The posts in the other thread have been deleted obviously, but anyone who can’t see how technically proficient Swift is has clearly never played the game to a decent level. Having the technical ability and actually producing it in a productive manner on the pitch are of course different things entirely, but no one can deny that he is our best player in terms of technical ability.

Otherwise known as 'The Cristian Gamboa Effect'  ;D .

I saw that he was still playing the other day.

How poor a summer of recruitment that one was for us.

Agreed on the same line up that started against Hull. Fellows was poor again but he is your brightest prospect so you have to hope that at some point he comes good again, and it's not as if Wallace and Diangana are banging the door down to replace him, Dobbin is the only one who can consider himself unfortunate not to have had a start yet.

Think the break comes at a good time for us after that win, can regroup with some confidence back in the camp.
