Seems to be having some of the same issues as his predecessor. Picking his personal favourites at the expense of the team balance.

A lot of players here with soft feet and soft bellies too sadly.

Everyone said we needed to give his predecessor more time after 2 years of being in charge and I don't agree with that, same as I won't agree with it for Tony. I will give him more time than 25 days though.
Yes - he has inherited a squad that doesn’t suit his preferred style of play. Hopefully he can change things over time but there are no quick fixes. We are a million miles off the Premier League and don’t stand out from teams in the top half of the Championship. You should walk this league to have any hope of survival if promoted. Let’s hope we can build around some of our younger players and improve for next season after another clear out.

The silence is deafening for me. No post match comments or did he decide to go home early like most of the supporters?

How do Plymouth found their manager and after spending an age Nestor found Mowbray.

He needs to get a grip and stop playing rubbish like Swift and Wallace.

He took us over in the top six and if we aren't still there at the end of the season then it will be thanks and goodbye.
I think it would have been best for both parties had it been a contract until the end of this season.

4
I’m waiting for his post match comments. I just hope he’s honest in his views.

Truth hurts
I really hope he can turn it around but I have to say he looked well and truly defeated tonight. Perhaps he’s regretting taking us on but who knows.

6
Mowbray needs to apologise for his players tonight. That’s not an acceptable performance.

Can’t blame them tonight. The team never showed up so why should the fans stay and watch that. I’ll have respect for TM if he’s honest holds up his hands and apologised for them tonight. That wasn’t acceptable.

Blackburn proved slightly better of two poor teams in a poor game. We’ve not beaten anyone in the top 6 this season. Playoffs are obviously still possible but I can’t see us having any joy. We are an ok side in a very poor Championship. There’s no short term fix I’m afraid until we are able to bring in better quality we aren’t going to improve. TM looked frustrated but powerless to do anything about things tonight.

Having watched Man City v Real Madrid last night this is a come down. The Championship lacks any real quality - it’s almost like watching a different sport!

I thought that too. It’s not like it was 5.30 I’m surprised at how early people leave. A few by me left on 82 minutes there was still another 15 minutes and two goals to come!

It was my first home game since Swansea. I was quite surprised by how passive our support is. Many had left at 1-0. It’s so expensive these days I can’t believe the number of fans who missed the extra time drama.

Only seen the highlights but it seems like Furlong had a torrid time - all their attacks came down his side.

Wildsmith looked good but also spilled the ball for their goal. Shame Heggem couldn't pull off the double block on the goal line.
I thought that both of our fullbacks struggled when they changed things around in the second half. Both looked better coming forwards but not so good defending. Their left winger was tricky and had the beating of Furlong.

Have you ever purchased insurance?
Yeah - I get that. It’s like criticising a player secretly hoping he’ll get a hat-trick. The opposite of tempting fate.

I think TM saw how devoid of ideas the team were against Plymouth last week. I’m sure there’ll be some changes but there has to be some stability. Introducing too many new players at once would be counter productive. I’m sure that we’ll see fewer square pegs in round holes now that there are some real options to choose from.

Yes, so many options now and formations I hope TM keeps it simple in training he'll be like a kid in a sweet shop!
I just hope it’s not the same lineup as the last two inspite of the Portsmouth score line.

Swift and Wallace should be nowhere near the first 11 now !my opinion I would play diakite in the defensive midfielder position with moloumby because they have the legs to get up and down the pitch and mop up in front the back 4!
Where does Price play? I’ve forgotten with all these options!

We have an EXTREMELY unbalanced squad.

You would like to think it's because the planning is hat a fair few of the attacking players will be moved on in summer and defensive players will be be brought in then too.
I think you are right that it’s short term especially up front. Obviously, Lankshear and Armstrong go back to their clubs. I could also see Fellows and Maja being sold if the right bids came in and Diangana will probably move on a free. Dike may well not be fit and hopefully Wallace will also move on.

It won’t be as important to them as it is to us. Before the internet we would have waited for the late edition of the E&S. We all expect instant information these days. Also, if it’s not been allowed how do we find out? I wouldn’t think there would be any official announcements from either us or Southampton unless it all goes through.

Just checked on the Bristol Rovers site, they are gutted, player of the season for them, one said they would be relegated already but for Josh.
As one supporter on that site said he’s had a lot of practice this season with the amount of shots he’s faced. Hopefully the experience has been really helpful in his development.

Where do people get this from
There are a lot worse run clubs than ours.
I was only joking (hopefully!) but some of the things that happened in the past were very ‘Carry On Football’. Remember Odemwinge on QPRs car park and the fax machine running out of ink!

Stuart Watson

Alex Palmer has passed his #itfc medical. 3.5yr deal should be announced soon.

Understand that will be that for Ipswich Town ahead of tonight's 11pm deadline.
A typical Albion situation would be Palmer officially signs for Ipswich at midnight (as Premier League teams get extra time to get the paperwork done) we then miss our deadline to recall Griffiths. Frantic search tomorrow for an out of contract keeper!

Can't really work this one one out. The reported fee is really a very large amount of money for us. His career so far has so little going for it. He's barely played professionally, and at 21 he's not exactly that young relatively speaking. He doesn't even have any underage  caps for Denmark so it doesn't seem like he's been a big prospect there.

Hopefully it will be a masterstroke but he really needs to be able to come in and be contributing immediately to the first team to justify this kind of spending.
Especially if Grant and Fellows leave. We’ll be a bit short on both wings.

Tammy Bany sounds about as Danish as Joe Bloggs.
Sounds more like a country and western singer to me! Perhaps at corners he’ll be told to ‘stand by your man’?

I'm pretty certain that Palmer would have stopped some of them.
You could be right. Don’t forget we still have Boaz Myhill at the club. He looks as if he could still fill the space between the sticks adequately!

What's more important though. Several wayward drop kicks or making point blank saves when its literally one on one with a striker? In virtually every match Palmer makes crucial saves. Griffiths will have to be pretty damn good to match him, and being young, will he have the authority to boss his defenders? And if Griffiths is injured, Wildsmith doesn't fill me with great confidence on the basis of his showing at Bournemouth.
Bad piece of business even if with a decent fee.
I’m not sure whether Wildsmith is the answer but wouldn’t judge him too harshly for the game at Bournemouth. To be fair they put 5 past a very good Forest keeper and scored 4 at Newcastle after they played us.
