Need at least 10 pints before KO. Which pub do people normally go to?

Haven't commented in awhile but spend a lot of time seeing reactions on twitter which feel very OTT (Classic Twitter I know) and a lot of outrage at Val, the style of football etc.

I think for me, with our owners, the lack of investment, the ridiculous low fees for youngsters leaving, the dodgy deals that we are still waiting on (Hegazi) and how even after selling Pereira we have only signed loaness and free agents this summer... Im amazing that we are 3rd in all honeslty.

I think Val has done well with this limited squad in terms of strength in depth and even some of the first team names we have who I don't think are good enough.

Some games have been dreadful, but I feel he got a lot of criticism again for how we played last night even though we passed a lot more, kept hold of the ball a lot more and were much much more patient with our play.

Hull came for a point and were very deep and in the end that was a good win. Not amazing but a lot better than some are making out.

With the squads Fulham and Bournemouth have I'm just glad we are only a few wins behind, amazed actually at that.

Keep going Val

Tended to drink in the town and then get a taxi to ground.

Absolute nightmare of a walk back into town after game mind

Yeah the walk is horrible. Just want a pub with more Baggies in than Preston fans  ;D

What pub do people usually go to before the game? Went last time and ended up in pubs with mostly home fans

You both make very valid points but none of it is relevant to the fact that Jacko calls out Livermore for giving the ball away yet doesn't call out Mowatt for doing it more often. If you criticise a player using one criteria then you should also criticise another player for failing in the same criteria.

Depends on the type of pass for me, I see Livermore give the ball way a lot in positions where he should have easily made the pass (usually sideways) Mowatt does give it away but you can see he is always trying the more difficult pass, through balls, quick round the corners etc. I feel with those players you have to accept they will lose possession.

As for Dawn French, I'd rather have her in midfield than Jake some games

I hope he takes the FA Cup more seriously, during the first 43 minutes I was growing more and more annoyed at the fact Arsenal were there for the taking...

I understand financially we need to get promoted but I'm guessing like most people on here, haven't seen us win anything (excluding the championship title) and have no idea what that feeling is.

Almost got a taste of it during the summer, and that feeling with the Baggies would be 100 fold.

Really disappointed last night, but onto Saturday...

He’s got a lot to learn off the ball but there’s a lot to like from what I’ve seen. Certainly not short of confidence

I can see why a lot of clubs passed on him, however there is a player there somewhere...

Shame, the kids did well for 43 mins but then punished by a combination of £140 million worth of talent. I wish we would take the cup more serious, our first 11 would have given these lot a real game.

Im happy with our front 3 as it stands. He's an upgrade on that donkey Ken. If he's for off the bench it's fine

I'm entitled to it as we've been watching your posts for nearly 12 months. You have to post in football related topics now as we had to get rid of all the others due to people acting like squabbling kids.

Didn't realise that section was gone. Shame.

As for Sam... hopefully he's got his mistakes out the way early on this year.

Would be good to see Palmer get some minutes Wednesday but presume it will be Button

Right going to watch it a 3rd time  ;D

Edit.

"We are very happy with the squad, we extend SOME contracts"

He's finished talking about Johnstone at this point.

I've requested the transcript from Sky, he said extend Sam.

The good news is, we haven't really dominated and have scored and are drawing. Surely if we can get some more of the ball our front 3 should tear this league apart;)

I'm sorry but 17 million is tragic.
Buendia went for what 40? Good championship players Go for 17 million with 0 prem experience.

3 years left on his contract, 11 premier league goals for a midfielder.

I know he was forcing a move away but to us he is worth more than that...

Anyway, I wish him all the best, one of the most gifted players I've seen in Albion shirt, and I can understand why after his poor upbringing in Brazil and Portugal why he would leave for that sort of money. Good luck

Love the third top, not shelling out 110 quid so it's a toss up between the away and third for me

He signed a longer contract, no one forced him. He wants to leave off the back of a few decent games. As i've said before we will be fine without him, it's just a shame we couldn't get top wack for him.

He'll end up going out on loan towards the end of the window and we will lose out because we won't have anytime to get anyone in. Been here before haven't we? ;D

A few decent games is a bit harsh  ;D

I haven't got an Athletic subscription, but Steve Madeley has said that Wolves- who are likely to sell Rui Patricio this summer - are looking at Sam.

Add an extra 5 million on if the dog heads bid
