I share the view that we ain't going to win this with Holgate and Wallace starting

Saving Fellows to be sold?

I hope not but it's a very strange one otherwise

For people saying it's now or never for him at 22, I disagree.

Centre halves take so much longer to develop than any other outfield position. Dawson was much older before he established himself.

Odd comment - “yet another”?  I’m struggling to think of any!

Both Sheffield United goals...

Don't think we deserve to be behind but...

Yet another goal conceded from our right hand side, Furlong too narrow allowing a cross in. Have teams/coaches figured Furlong out?

Not much in that foul, should've counted for me

I'm not in the country so not able to watch the games.

Aside from the fact it's not good enough, we've had two clean sheets and Ajayi has had pelters after both. What's he done so bad within a clean sheet?

If you have full sky sports subscription (not sure if you have to be with sky rather than virgin for example) you can access it on the red button.

Otherwise I think you can pay for sky sports + through Now TV.

Or access it via other methods which cannot be named for legal reasons  :D

I know Fellows has had his plaudits already on here today, but I absolutely love the little look into the box he does between beating his man and crossing for the second goal.

So many players cross without looking these days!

I am sorry but a professional footballer should always work hard !

Plus also remember he is one of the highest paid players at the club and we still owe over 4 million in transfer fees.

Whilst all that is true, the fee and wages were not the fault of the player, current manager or current owner.

So we should now be judging him solely on performances this season.

I think other than Grant that's probably out starting XI for the season as it stands?

One of Diangana and Wallace in for Grant

Sheffield Wednesday at home and Oxford away, excellent!

It's a shame but also not surprising if he goes.

He's our best player and the one that is clearly good enough for the premier league.

You could see the drop in our performance level when he was off the pitch.

Is is me or does the blue look a very light shade? I prefer a darker Navy.

I thought it looks a bit Sheffield Wednesday and maybe that's why

Promoted twice from this league. I think he'll do OK.

Steve Bruce had double promotions..

Good news.

That leaves Heard and Ingram as the two yet to sign who were offered deals.

Would be disappointed to lose the former.

I really doubt Corberan would go with such an inexperienced centre pairing.

It'll be Bartley and one from Ajayi, Taylor, Heggen (if he signs) or even Kipre (if he re- signs)

Whilst I'm sure that will be the plan, Bartley very rarely goes through a season injury free.

There will therefore need to points in the season where the partnership is two of Ajayi, Taylor and Heggen (or A.N.Other signing).

A few of the other U23's are still outstanding too aren't they (Cleary, Heard, Nelson etc.) or have I missed their re-signing?

Nothing to do with lack of fight, tried to defend throughout and only show any forward momentum when we go a goal down.

Had to show more attacking intent at the Hawthorns. Said it at the time, it was our best/only chance

We need a couple of (as we used to call them) "goal hangers" in the box. Some one who can spot the chances and finish them off. Also need more bodies in the box rather than standing on the half way line.

Yep, I think this would be my main criticism from today would be not getting enough men in the box. Quite a few times today we had the ball out wide with a crossing opportunity and just had BTA in the box.

Felt like we didn't want to over commit, which I get, but equally our best chance of winning this tie was winning today.

I think it will be a good indicator to us fans as to whether Patel actually knows what he's doing as to whether Pearce is shafted or retained in summer

Well played Cov, should've won it
I like there right back 27,good on the ball attacking and defended well, could do with signing him if available

Tbh they have a fair few players I like the look of, and that's after selling off two players to top division teams in summer.

Their recruitment is miles ahead of ours.

If it’s done after playing Wednesday there is a week until the final game and then 8/9 days before the first leg so we should play our strongest team vs Preston unless anyone has a particular knock

Disagree, players have looked tired at times in recent weeks - I think an extended break for the majority would be ideal

The big 6 who have the biggest squads and were the ones who wanted the additional subs on the benches each game who also only play reserve sides in the cup anyhow.

The alternative for them is not to be as successful and play less games.

No need to scrap any cup to suit 6 clubs

Yeah, and hoard players from every other club outside the top 6, but then don't play them.

Pep moaned about the schedule today but then picked virtually the same XI that played Wednesday despite having £100m's worth of player not starting either game.

If they want it to be like that their squad size (and number of contracted players) should be reduced
