Not sure if I’ve seen a thread for this yet but think it highlights how getting help for mental health issues is so important, especially after the past year and a half. Very sad to read about. If anyone here or anyone you know is struggling with mental health issues please reach out to the professionals who can talk and support. Rest In Peace Williams

Man City - Not expecting anything of them, 100% record so far this season early pace setters, yes a lethargic performance but as TP said he got the selection wrong and tried to go for it ( which many people moan at him when he doesn't) 0 points

Watford - Coming from the back of an impressive draw away at Everton, first home game of the season for the newly promoted side was always going to be difficult for us, not a great game again but a valuable point with some sterling defending, I think few teams will come away with Watford with more than a draw this season - 1 point

Chelsea - A bit more pleasing to the eye but still a loss, good performance but ultimately a loss - 0 points

Stoke - Terrible spectacle, yes we should have took the initiative and beat 9 men more handsomely, but you know what, we won, when you look at the end of the season at results you don't look at performances or statistics or anything like that you look at the result - 3 points

All in all not a great start but with our first win this season and hopefully an ending to the Berahino saga soon upon us plus a few signings things aren't that bad lads, yes granted today was a bit abysmal with us playing 9 men, but don't think for one minute TP doesn't see what we see, we have had problems with recruitment of players for years, so instead of picking any available player to buy or loan we have to go about it the right way and pick the right players.

As the start goes we have played pretty bad but have picked up four points from a realistic 6 ( discounting the Man City and Chelsea games) and we haven't played great is this really as bad of a start in terms of results as we are telling ourselves? Yes performances have to improve and I believe they will once the window has closed and we have everyone settled not worrying about who may be coming and who may be going. So fellow Baggies CHEER UP its not that bad lets let the lads settle back into the routines and back into the pace of things and performances and results ( which actually haven't been bad) will inevitably improve.

West Bromwich Albion FC / time to make ourselves heard

I was willing to give Irvine a chance but his drab negative tactics, uninspired team selection and substitutions have got us as a fan base bemused and bored we're going no where with Alan Irvine in charge it's getting like groundhog day every time we have a match . Why not give players like gamboa Brown blanco and varela a chance, he's just tactically out of his depth  and too scared to be  adventurous
The banners need to come out we need to be vocal and get Irvine out
For me pulis is the man to sort us out, he will have us clued up organised and add a bit of fight to us, for those who question his style yes his team's have a certain reputation but his stoke and palace side have played better football and been more effective than we have for donkeys
IRVINE OUT PULIS IN

West Bromwich Albion FC / What a Difference

A few weeks make, from when Irvine was appointed there was nothing but gloom and doom in the general consensus among Albion fans, now after a few significant signings the mood and optimism is starting to improve, fair play to jp and the backroom staff for really sticking their necks out and keeping their promises about player recruitment, the best thing about it is you know were not even done in the market yet, hopefully Irvine will be able to make the squad gel and we can go into the game against Sunderland bouncing and fully behind the lads, after last seasons disastrous performances and decisions this season could really be a head turner and hopefully again we will be able to enjoy the football and get some decent results at the hawthorns, lets get behind the lads 100% and give it our all...... COME ON YOU BAGGIES

i havent got a clue who's going to be next but i hope it is someone with calibre who demands respect

West Bromwich Albion FC / Lets get realistic

bad result for the lads today, but i think it just shows how far we have come as a club when we are genuinely annoyed to leave Liverpool with nothing as a majority of us fans actually believe we have the quality to genuinely compete and go away against big clubs and get something, however it's a long season, no team can expect to do what Arsenal's 'invincible's' did so we shouldn't get carried away with losing at Anfield, it's better to make the mistakes against a team like Liverpool than Palace because losing against Palace would do a lot more to dent confidence and morale than the battering  the scouse lot give us,
yes maybe the tactics weren't right ( anichebe on the wing :o ?) anelka continuing to look pretty ineffective, bit of bad luck with amalfitano, lets hope we learn from the mistakes and pick the right team against Palace
by all means have it out on the message board, with your friends and such but lets leave the negativity where it belongs on a matchday and make the Hawthorns rocking like it use to be, there's alot to say for an intimidating atmosphere i feel if we could turn the Hawthorns back into a wall of noise the affect on confidence on both teams may be a factor to the performances
lets get behind the boys and aim to loose our voice at the end of every game, lets sing our hearts out, roar the lads on, i feel we could do with a bring back the atmosphere campaign or something, it's not the same going down the hawthorns these days, it may be because of expectation levels, but related to my original point in the post we can't forget where we came from to get here, it didnt happen overnight, i just have to point to teams like sheff wed, blues, forest, wolves, sheff utd, wigan, bolton all teams that are very similiar in stature to us, i know what position id rather be in and that's ours , so baggies fans i beg of you remember the bad old days of getting drubbed by a grimsby team full of ex Albion players and a dingle team with steve bullsh*t scoring against us being a guaranteed and next time your at a game give it your all like you want the players to give it their all, we can really make a difference to the games

West Bromwich Albion FC / Best Away Day?

sunderland away 04 - 1-0 koumas
what a game
this would have to be mine, closely second to the wolves facup demolition when we took the pooh bank, and third when we drew at man utd with the horse winning the penalty, however this for me still sends chills, that season was a rollercoaster, the long trip up to the north east on the coach took nearly 4 odd hours, but my was it worth it, the lloyd dyer break right at the end of the game still remember it vividly then koumas' cool finish, great seeing clement and gaardsoe in that video, two of my favourite players, shame about tommy g retiring early , did make a comeback in iceland for abit but was probably not the same player,

West Bromwich Albion FC / Signs of encouragement...

For the first time this season after trekking to everton and fulham and watching us against southampton and swansea i was finally relieved to see some good football and goals from open play, for the first time this season the team produced some good football that genuinely excited the crowd, barring Anelka. Don't get me wrong I'm not an Anelka basher i believe the guy still has quality, not as much as he did have, but if utilised properly could be a shrewd acquisition, instead of letting him spearhead the attack every game he should most definitely be a substitute to bring on to kill a game with his experience, and if he can fix himself up abit, his touch, which seems to have deserted him after a promising pre-season. We all know 4-5-1 is our best formation and to win games we need to accomodate mozza sessegnon sinclair and amalfitano on the pitch, all four have the direct attitude and skill to change games for us with their pace and creativeness, without the willingness to simply pass back or sideways with no purpose, i appreciate brunt is integral to us but with them four we need a mulumbu or yacob to add a bit of balance. Regarding the lone forward if Anichebe can up his game abit he will be a very efficient lone striker with his size and ability to hold a ball up and turn his man, Long is also an ideal candidate with his willingness and very good ability (shown prior Hutton challenge). Not to leave out Berahino who should most definitely be used as a 'super sub' at the moment to show his credentials, instead of giving him five/ten measly minutes he needs a good half hour to have an impact, which i believe with his ability he can do in the prem.. if given the chance. Jones and Amalfitano looked very promising  on the right flank, they linked up very well. Amalfitano looks like our best player, a cut above the rest, we should really look for a permanent deal in January instead of the end of the season because this guy is good enough for a team like Everton/Liverpool from his credentials in the french league as well as his couple performances, i know i maybe jumping the gun abit but i believe we need to show Amalfitano a lot of love to convince him to stay here at the end of the season, we will definately stay up if we play the same sort of team - barring Anelka, that played against Sunderland. West Bromwich Albion FC / we need..

to do something to create hawthorns into an intimidating atmosphere
in the end of the day were in a relegation battle and im sure youll all agree we
as fans need to be at our best and literally be the 12th man such as the 'famous' stoke fans
it sounds so obvious but players like carson, meite, brunt will be lifted with backing and support from our fans, i really think to stay up us as fans actually have a massive part to play
maybe bring flags into it, horns, anything to build a positive and intimidating atmosphere  like the ones we had even to the end of the great escape we have an amazing support undoubtedly
any ideas or am i being really theatrical...lol
