No way do I want Mowbray overseeing the rebuild that's needed. It doesn't matter what players are on the pitch if your tactics are as bad as ours. Each to their own but I wouldn't pay to watch Corberans football, apart from early season it was mostly slow backwards and sideways that required anaesthesia, but technically he was superior to Mowbray.

Personally I didn't think he was that good today really , he was slow to get out to Rodoni for the first goal and made a number of sloppy passes  especially in the first half.
Probably the only time he's been below par this season though.
Think that's harsh Hull, we had two players marking the Coventry player who still managed to put a low ball across the box which Mowett half reached.

We say the same thing towards the end of every season "we need a rebuild" but the main core of  players who have shown they do not have the quality to get us up stay. We are gradually getting poorer not better both in players and management. I understood how Corberan managed to squeeze everything from these players and it was boring but it's even more boring under Mowbray.

Why can't players be sacked after a match, you sign a contract at work but if you did this badly at your job you would be sacked, managers get sacked why can't players, I would be sacking, Mowatt, Swift, Wallace and Bartley after the game.  Grady has done enough to save his jobs based on his performance at left back, he and furlong would he on a final warning
Dike and Armstrong brought onto to late
Grady has stole a living for the last 3 years.

When you want players to dig you out of an hole you wouldn't select Swift and Diangana. Both have had poor seasons and have no interest in this club's advancement.

No way should Mowbray get next season, his recruitment was a farce much like our performances. Add that to a group of players that are no more than average it's no surprise to see us struggling.

That was garbage, a group of pensioners would play at a faster pace than our lot. We have no pattern to our play its just smash and hope. Midfield is non existent so we create nothing for the forward or wingers.

Bartley just let him go.

Strange name Louza, sounds like loser.  :D
I'd swap him for Mowatt in a heartbeat. Keeps the ball and pings nice little passes to team mates.

What do you use to base your opinion on whether we have a top 2 squad top 6 or top ten? I don't pay that much attention to or have detailed knowledge about the squads from all the other teams in the league, I only see this team regularly to form an opinion on its quality or lack of. Considering we only scraped into the play off last year and could finish roughly anywhere from 6th to 10th this year hasn't that answered that we have a squad rated around 8th?
I'm not convinced that Corberan or Mowbray could or can get anymore from this squad of players so that's where I think the problem lies, they can be good but are far more consistent at being average.
I know the game isn't played on paper but I struggle to believe there are 8 better squads in this league compared to ours.

I don't think we needed him, Styles could play that position.

Exactly what about Johnston's 2 goals (in one game) and 2 assists saves him?
On the basis that I think he's better than we've seen and that it's unlikely anyone will give us back the £3m we spent.

Should have won?! What is he watching  :-X

They had all the clear chances before they gifted us a goal, they should have been out of sight. It’s becoming painful to see him ruining the goodwill he still had with us after those couple of incredible seasons 20 years ago
Usual managers response even if it is pie in the sky.

He won't play the youngsters until it's mathematically impossible to get in the play offs. It's gone pear shaped but it wasn't that long ago where we praised him for getting draws at Leeds and Burnley.

There are very few if any of the current squad that I would be sorry to see leave in the summer.
Maja
Heggem
Styles
Fellows
Johnston
Price

That's it. Anyone else I wouldn't be bothered about.

Did he deserve to be dropped though? Arguably one of the best players under Corberan in 2024.

Looking back the process to replace Corbaran took far too long and had a desperate feel about it, waiting on Mowbrays health is one thing but their styles are completely different. We now look poor all over the pitch with  virtually no shape of idendity.

I think it was to get Bany on a perm and Armstrong on loan. Not sure though.
Not looking like a good decision now. Armstrong has been a real disappointment and we are definately weaker between the sticks whoever plays.

It's a stupid red for a player who at times does stupid things, the fact we had the ball with 40 seconds remaining and couldn't string a few passes to run the clock down says a lot about the players, even with 10 men that should be achievable but we could barely get to the half way line. Bristol on the other hand were comfortably knocking it around with passes in advanced positions looking for the win whereas we would have been tippy tappying around on the half way line.

So the last 2 managers have been rubbish. Okay, but what about this bunch of players then?
Neither are rubbish managers. They just play boring football.

I'd have him in the team ahead of Swift, Mulumby and Mowett who were all poor today. What's the chance nothing changes for the next game?

Football under Mowbray is a boring as it was under the last manager and I don't miss him one bit.

Didn't Mowbray say it'll be entertaining? Miss Marples on at 3.10 Saturday afternoon's maybe he meant that. You could rebuild the Great wall of China quicker than we get from the half way line to the opposition's box. It's like pre season friendly pace with zero urgency to win the game.

Can't wait to see the back of players like Swift who gave possession away so easily that led to that goal. Diangana absolute waste of a sub who does nothing.

I'd sooner him be in our team than the opposition's when we contest the play off final.
