Albion Fan's have had a tough old time of it of late, so I thought a look back at happier and more successful times might lift our spirits.

1997/98 season review

This is the first Albion season I actually remember. Wonder what would have happened if Harford had stayed on that season instead of going to QPR.

Maybe we would have got automatic that year...who knows?

Another memorable match and day out in what was a very difficult season of 1970/71.

This would be, if memory serves me correctly, our only away victory that season. But, satisfyingly, it would eventually deny our opponents on the day from lifting the League Title.

I was thinking more of how he refused, throughout the game, to be intimidated by the toxic atmosphere created by the Leeds crowd and the verbal on field abuse he received from Leeds players

Fair point well made. Can you imagine some of today's referees in a similar environment? Shudders  .

forgotten to a large degree just what a thoroughly horrible team "Dirty Leeds" were, epitomised by Bremner.
To say the game was physical then is an under statement, dont know how more legs weren't broken.
