our contract dealings
« on: January 30, 2022, 05:10:07 PM »
are we professional?
Does any one agree with my views and I will say I am not questioning any persons integrity.
Johnstone is one of our most valuable assets who is a current international and may even improve and we should do our best to keep him but we do have an adequate replacement and 2 promising young keepers who may become very good players.
Philips and Livermore;why on earth extend their contracts before they run out as they have little sell on value and if they get injured or decide not to put the effort in we have got to pay them unnecessarily
Townsend; He is ok as a player but I don't really want to seem him as a first teamer in our side for the next 3 years unless he improves

The issue was relegation. Had we have stayed up Johnson would have signed a new deal and the dross would have been paid off or sold on. Relegation coupled with no planning whatsoever got us here.

The contracts that are still extended when relegated I hope to god have a huge reduction in wages in.
