The only Real Madrid player ever to be applauded off by Barcelona fans.
If Laurie was playing today, on today's pitches, and protection from referees, he would be talked about in the same breath as Ronaldo

Corberan has once again shown a weakness in making too many changes just for the sake of it. We lose our pattern every time.
We were poor before the changes tonight

I don't think they can recall outside the transfer window

Yes 1967, I was there with my dad. We won against West Ham the previous year over two legs, and the QPR game was the first Wembley final.
We won the FA Cup the following year though  :)

Losing Bartley and moving Okay to centre back cost us.
Okay and Kipre being an unfamiliar partnership meant they went for the same header for their first equaliser, if Bartley had been on that would have been cleared.
First half Okay was absolutely bossing midfield, and we lost midfield when he moved back. I always think you should never disrupt two areas unless it's a dire emergency. I would have brought Pieters on and left midfield alone.

Reminds me a bit of Willie's Johnston, the way he drops a shoulder then does the fullback for pace. At least he hasn't got Willie's temper 😅

I maybe, wrong but I don't believe when you join this board it says you must read every Balispen post, so they are easy to avoid, as the name is there at the top left, so if the verge of administration and my commenting on why it has happened seems negative to you, then don't work your self up reading it,  and be happy that we are 5th and have beaten an u23 Blackburn team missing their freescoring mf, and just pray that the bills and loans will go away and we can happy clap together and maybe even get a ring ring a rosies in too.

You obviously, haven't read the posts, have you, which is odd as one was just above from Saltnshake who wasn't averse to retaining him.

Furthermore, I ask you to find the negative posts that makes me the most negative poster on here on the threads of AM, AP, CK, TF, GD and many more threads.
It's probably my age, but sometimes I struggle to identify who the initials refer to. Is it too much trouble to put a name?

There are several types of British thrush: Song Thrush, Mistle thrush, Fieldfare,  Redwing.  What's your choice?  I veer between the Redwing because I like a red collar on our shirts and the Song Thrush because its playlist has more variations than most other birds.

I believe that "Throstle" is an old english name for a song thrush.  I think our young throstles played well on Saturday.
Because the Black Country dialect is the closest to old Ango Saxon, throttle has the same root as the german word for thrush - Drossel

Yup, Pearce's priority is definitely to save us money.

The £42k given to a has been like ma was definitely inspired and nc on 18 months when 6 would have  done was also very savvy. I'm sure he wasn't swayed by their England caps and was definitely counting the pennies.

Sadly if he were scrubbing the dressing room floors at the training he would probably be using cooking oil instead of flash thereby increasing the injury count even more.

Sorry I don't understand the abreviations

Great pull back from Wallace for the goal, but without the superb ball from Okay it doesn't happen

They didn’t have to extend themselves in any way and, as is often the case in those circumstances, you get a boring watch.
But that is normal in most matches. A winger/wingback has space in front of him, but 9 times out of 10 he will pass back to the centre back

I know nowadays possession is everything, but all the sideways and backwards passing bores the pants off me. Even the so called progressive players won't take a chance on a forward pass.

Finally got into the game last 15 minutes
Our left side have got into some decent positions and the crossing has been woeful from Phillips and Townsend
BTA has a decent chance he should at least work the goalkeeper followed by a chance for yokuslu who puts it over
Promising last 15 minutes, thing is I can see them scoring at least one more
With very few attacking options I’d maybe consider Pipa for furlong for the last 20 minutes if it stays the same
I'd swap Furlong for Pipa now. Furlong has been awful

Did you know: Clive ( chippy ) Clark was the first player player to score a goal in a League Cup Final played at Wembley. 1967 was the first Wembley League Cup final before that the final was played over two legs  ( home and away ). Yes we lost 3-2 to QPR  >:(
Yes I was there as a 14 year old. The memory of the QPR fans chanting "Rodneee" as they overturned our 2-0 lead has scarred me since

Gera for me. Best midfield pairing was Mulumbu and Yacob - complemented each other so well
