Last season I chose 'Purchase a new season ticket (not had one this season)'

I won't be renewing this year though. It's kind of being taken out of my hands. I cannot commit to weekends from July due to the work commitments of the Mrs leaving me as Head of Chilminding at the weekends.

I think I would have said no anyway this year, I'm not enjoying it and the money could be better spent elsewhere.

I will renew barring any change to work/personal commitments.
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.

didn't purchase our usual 3 this season and that wont change, although I miss going to the game I don't miss the travelling plus im a grand better off.
would reconsider if we looked like we played some decent stuff, at my age ive seen enough promotions and relegations but I do want to enjoy it and see attractive football.

I was here long before Pulis and his garbage football and I'll be here long after he's done one.
No no, no no no no, no no no no, no no shots on target.......

Renew.

I think it's this attitude that the majority will adopt

Whilst I can afford it both money and health wise I shall always renew.

Sometimes it isn't pretty and, especially the last few years, it's been hard work.

But I'll always go because for every dozen or so godawful, mind numbing game I sit through, there is always that one exhilarating match that makes you think "that's why I come here". Admitted its a rarity, but I wouldn't want to risk missing it by not renewing.

This chappie who threw the coin at Brunt has been labelled as a day tripper and not a true Albion and probably came to the match due to the £10 ticket cost.

If season tickets were cheaper do we think they would generally attract more of this sort of person?

No one knows for certain who threw it yet so I don't know how he can be labelled as a day tripper by anyone to be honest.

This sort of person?

The ability to pay more for a ticket does not provide immunity to general bellendry.
Further, it has not been proven yet that the 'gentleman' was a day tripper.
Higher pricing is not necessarily inversely proportionate to improved behaviour.

Really hope the club and the football authorities don't seek to use this incident as an excuse to stop cheaper games where possible. I also think it's something of an insult to suggest those who may struggle to afford pricier season tickets, are incapable of behaving in a responsible manner.

Whoever threw the coin appears to be something of a c ock.
Inreasing the ticket price would not decrease the likelihood of a bellend being a bellend and throwing a coin at one of his/her own players.

It would just cost more money to attend a fixture, possibly denying perfectly well behaved and responsible members of the public an opportunnity to attend football games.
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.

I haven't implied anything. I've just repeating what I have read online and on social media and just asking a question whether we would see more of that sort i.e coin throwing hooligans if season tickets were cheaper.

Fair enough.

My answer to that question makes up the main body of the post which you quoted.

What are your thoughts on the issue?

Do you think that cheaper season tickets are more likely to induce coin throwing?

The kid who was accused is a season ticket holder in the Smethwick so I heard.

I haven't got one this season and won't next. I'll continue to pick and choose home games and do most of the aways.
Allllllll aboard

I'll renew out of loyalty, even though match-days are feeling more of a chore.

I detest the way we currently play but I was here before Pulis and I'll be here a long time after him, too.

Respect to this.

If I hadn't got a beatuful little 6 month old girl I want to see on the best day of the week I'd be doing the same.

For this reason only il be picking and choosing next year.

I had a season ticket from 1988-2007/8, I decided not to buy one again because I just wasn't enjoying the Premier League, rather the pooh that goes with it. I detest the way the stewarding has changed, everything is so sanitised, you cannot have fun anymore, it doesn't entertain me.

I guess I'm saying I much preferred it when it was about the 90 minutes and the supporters, rather than everything but the 90 minutes and the supporters.

I voted other, my decision is purely a financial one, I bought the family season tickets this year for the first time because I had a bit of spare cash. I share an adult ticket with the missus and she takes our 3 lads if I'm working and if I'm not working we try to pick up an extra match day ticket. I've got to say the football could and should have been better BUT in the main it's not a decision I've regretted. My kids are lucky, they were gutted that we'd lost 3-2 after leading two nil against Everton but enjoyed the match. I have to remind them that we've been a lot worse my whole life and tell them of days like Woking, losing 5-1 to Crewe ?
