At half time would never have believed Leicester would score 5, but full credit to some excellent opportunist goals, especially from Fatawu. However, I don't think Southampton would be easy. They became much less compact when the game started running away from them.

Leicester have more flair but Southampton look a difficult side to beat. They are all strong and can turn on the ball. They haven't yet created any proper chances, but they are the type of team who can nick a goal and then defend it.

Leicester- Sothampton tonight. I wouldn't mind another crack at Leicester based on last Saturday's evidence, and I bet Leicester fans wouldn't be over optimistic.

Bad news for their rivals as he is an absolutely brilliant manager
Bad news for clubs looking for new managers.

Its that now, effectively !
Is it? :o So we just aim to finish above The Ipswichs, Norwichs and Leicesters and then its job done?
Reminds me of what my Dad used to say. Aim high and you might not get there. Aim to be average, and you won't even make that.

The Premier League absolutely stinks and the quicker the big clubs leave for the Super League the better.
Although much of the attitude of the big clubs, and the national media's cowtowing to them stinks, the last thing I'd want would be a breakaway Superleague.  The gap between them and the rest would become more or less unbridgable.  They might even try to turn it into a US type franchise without promotion or relegation. As an Albion fan you always hope we may be able to re-establish ourselves, so that we can take on the Liverpools and Man Utds and give them a good game. Otherwise what's the point? Football is a competitive sport. Is the pinnacle of our ambition to be champions of some second tier divsion?

There's not many better sights in football than watching a skilful winger taking on and dribbling through defences. Johnston is one of those players who has it in his locker. He could have had 3 against Leicester, and each one would have been one to remember.
I don't know how much spending money we will have in the summer, but you'd hope that securing Johnston would be close to the top of our priority list.

Jammy Man Utd scrape through thanks to VAR and the woodwork.  Hope they get battered in the final.

Strange entry to make in Wikipedia. Not like he was in any official function. Just being in a family who were football supporters?

Norwich and Hull draw
Watched most of Watford-Hull. Watford keeper Bachmann put in top performance.

Needs to be dropped.

He’s moaning before the ball has even got to him. Definitely doesn’t want the club to finish in the top 6 as he knows we definitely won’t renew
Has his faults, but that's some accusation.

Hull who are still in it, miss a penalty at Watford.

As so often, one side dominates but misses a hatful of chances, then the other side gets one chance and scores. We weren't clinical enough but you have to applaud Leicester for their defending. Having Choudry in exactly the right position on the line twice.

Top performance from the team. We just weren't as ruthless in the penalty box as Leicester were. Johnston tremendous apart from that final little bit of accuracy. Choudry 2 off the line. We didn't have any luck (though Johan Cruyff once said there's no such thing as luck!).

All 3 doubts for Leictesr involved. Vardy and Dewsbury start.

Old trick to get opposition team over confident.

Paul Williams was nowhere as bad as he is labelled. Most of the abuse started when Stuart Pearson left and rumours seemed to blame him. The abuse Williams got was frankly embarrassing. I met him and he was a nice guy and was proud to be at Albion. He despised Bobby Gould.
I saw Williams, I think it was on his debut against Crystal Palace. I remember him trying a flick with the outside of his boot that looked flashy but didn't come off. It went downhill from there.
With BTA, he also lacks accuracy with his passing and his ball control doesn't allow him to hold the ball for long, but he compensates with his energy and nuisance value for defenders, which foces them into errors.

The fixture schedule in this country is very congested, but I would reduce the matches by reducing the number of cups. Most countries only have one domestic cup competition. I would scrap the League cup. Also at European level we now have a third trophy, the Conference Cup.

If Preston fail to beat Southampton tonight, realistically they can't catch us.

In that case it will be Leeds which will be tough but I suppose same can be said of Southampton.
Or Leicester, or Ipswich or possibly Southampton. All difficult.

BTA's contribution didn't help at all, but we were struggling to break them down before that. We created very few clear cut chances. Even when our wingers get in behind, their crosses are not being converted.

He has to play though. Not his fault. CC doesn't like any of the young strikers so he will play.

The decision to leave Maja out of todays game was stupid but we can't do anything about it now
Maja hasn't proved anything yet.

Massively against the run of play. Need to somehow slvage something from this. We are the better team, but Sunderland will throw even more behind the ball now. Best news Cov losing 2-0.

Has he actually needed to bring in anyone on a transfer fee?

Well done Mikey, but probably just added several million to his selling price.

Probably knows himself he made a blunder. If not, his wife or partner, needs to urgently book an appointment for him at an optician.
