Pundits
« on: December 08, 2014, 08:31:38 PM »
Very simple question:

Who is your favourite and pundit and why?

Ill go with, Neville. Think he will make a good manager one day, 9 times out of 10 he talks sense and seems to have a good understanding of the game and how it should be played.

Worst pundit and why?

Im going to go with Lawrenson, the guy literally grinds my gears. Speaks utter nonsense on match of the day, and when he is commentating always trys to make a smug remark or a rubbish joke.

I think Neville and Carragher do a good job on a Monday night analysing the games, probably lean more towards Neville. Not so keen on the americanised set up of it all though.

Im not sure I like Carragher as a pundit.

He speaks sense at times, and others he has me questioning why he would say certain things.

They're a bit like the Ant and Dec of pundits, Carragher isn't so good without Neville

Gary Neville is the best without a shadow of a doubt. I dont mind Souness and Lee Dixon is quite good too. Owen is so boring and I cant stand his voice.

Neville is clearly the best out there at the moment. I really like Souness too, Lee Dixon is completely wasted on ITV.

ITV must be paying Dixon a good whack for him to move over from the BBC

I think Neville is probably the best around

Think hes going to make a good manager one day.

Strangely enough I can see him at the Albion in a couple years time, when Irvine is finally gone.  :P :D

Neville is the best. When he was announced I couldn't believe it. Thought he would be arrogant, egotistical and incredibly biased towards United but from day one he was impressive and is always fair.

Not sure he will go in to management, he has a good thing going on with Sky.

Andy Gray was good on sky, shame he let himself down. Him and Neville would have had some good debate I think.

I usually enjoy the soccer Saturday bunch as well, even Merson. They work well together despite what you may think of them as individuals.

Andy Townsend is my particular hate. Winds me up in particular that he commentates on England.

Andy Townsend was embarassing last night. Cheering when Liverpool nearly scored a winner. Shocking commentary.

I had to laugh when this happened.

Was it the Henderson header, which trickled to the line after a deflection and Townsend was like GOOOAOALLLL OOOHHHHHHH  :D :D

I like Savage, talks a lot of sense at times.

One of the worst has to be Stan Victor Collymore, attention seeking at his finest.

When in reality most of the country were delighted to see Liverpool dumped out. Vile club.

He kept shouting 'come on' throughout the last 15 minutes.

He does that for all the English clubs in the Champions league.

Gary Neville is one of the few pundits that knows a lot about the smaller clubs in the Premiership.

Another man I think divides opinion is Jamie Redknapp, I think his knowledge of the bigger clubs is quite good, however as the same with many other pundits, they arent really that clued up on the 'smaller' teams in the division.

I used to like Jamie Redknapp but he seems to be turning into his dad with an opinion on everything and doesn't listen or take into account others views (bit like some on here I guess !! )

Best - Savage because he's funny to listen to, plus he's a wind up merchant, just like when he played. I quite enjoyed watching him and now he's not a bad commentator.

Worst - Michael Owen, because he's so boring and talks rubbish.

OK Martin Keown is now the worst after the commentary tonight and his Match of the Day performance on Wednesday night.
